We had dinner in the brasserie. The setting is nice but that's about it. All the ingredients of my main dish with seabass, schrimp, asperagus and mashed patatoes at a price of 38,50 euro tasted bland. The other dish pasta scampi's at 32,50 euro, though big, lacked seasoning and was based on a creamy sauce. Staff were disorganized and lacked skills to engage with the clients. Let's say the experience was just ok, but for that price there are better brasseries in the area.

The beds were strapped together with nylon belts. Strange. Also few powerplugs in the room. And bathroom doesn't have a shower screen, so the floor becomes a swimming pool. Airco was on 25 degrees celcius by default. Staff didn't respond well to the reason of our stay (funeral). At checkout, we told the receptionist we had 2 extra coffees in the room. She told us they wouldn't be charged. Later that day, she called me during the funeral to say there had been a mixup and to ask me to wire 5 euros for the coffees to the hotel's account. First time I get this kind of question, especially after a receptionist mixup in a 4 star hotel where I just spent 150 euros for a night and 80 euros for dinner...

Fijn hotel. Goed en lekker bed, mooie grote kamer, overheerlijk diner en uitgebreid ontbijt. Zeer vriendelijke personeel bij receptie en bediening restaurant. Gratis parkeren op loopafstand. Minibar koelkastje heeft nog beetje plek voor zelf meegebracht drinken. Kamers wel aardig gehorig, o.a. vroeg in de avond rondrennende kinderen. Kamers op de begane grond zijn niet echt aan te raden. Je zit echt op straat als je het licht aan hebt en doet ook niet zo graag het raam een beetje open. Jammer ook dat het bad een erg hoge instap heeft als je wilt douchen (maar je kunt ook vragen om een kamer met alleen een douche)

Dit hotel geboekt mede op basis van de goede recensies die we hierover gelezen hadden. Toch kon deze ervaring ons niet volledig bekoren. Uiteraard valt er heel wat positiefs te melden: de kamers waren netjes, vele faciliteiten zijn aanwezig, de ligging in het centrum van het stadje is prima en de ontvangst was vriendelijk. We vonden de kamers echter donker en onpersoonlijk. Bovendien boekten we suites, maar we kregen eerder een soort van (familie)kamer met een zithoekje. Hier hadden we meer van verwacht! Meer persoonlijke touch in de inrichting van de kamers had zeker gemogen! De bijbehorende brasserie is zeer degelijk en biedt kwalitatief voedsel. Dit principe wordt gelukkig ook doorgetrokken in het ontbijtbuffet. Echter is de opstelling ervan ongelukkig en alles staat te dicht op elkaar. De koffiemachine daar zo vlakbij is allesbehalve ideaal en zorgt voor de nodige filevorming. Toen we wilden uitchecken was niemand beschikbaar om dat te regelen en verloren we veel tijd. Dat komt niet echt professioneel over... Kortom: dit hotel heeft wel degelijk enkele werkpuntjes en zou toch meer aan een persoonlijke familieuitstraling moeten werken. En wie een suite boekt, kan eerder een 'familiekamer' verwachten. Maar uiteraard waren er ook vele positieve elementen en al bij al kunnen we van een goede ervaring gewagen.

Top hotel waar van A tot Z alles helemaal tip top inorde is. Top kamers, verschrikkelijk lekker ontbijt, avond eten top. Je gaat zeker niet met honger op stap of 's avonds naar bed. Zeer goed personeel van bij het onthaal tot bij je vertrek. Gezellig terras, waar je lekkere drankjes en hapjes kan benutten. Parking onder hotel. Tegen zeer schappelijke prijzen. Aanrader en wij gaan terug 👍👍👍
