The Elgin Mount Pandim - Heritage Resort & Spa

We visited elgin pandim for 3 nights and 4 days and we had an amazing time. Room views are beautiful and food is excellent. Special mention for the morning breakfast team of Alies, Anjali, Aruna, suk hangma and Hemali. The service was too good and the staff made sure we enjoyed our breakfast.

A lovely period, heritage hotel in Pelling. After a long and 'interesting ' drive on the mountain roads we were great full to arrive at this little peaceful oasis. It's beautifully situated on the steep hill side, close to a number of interesting sites (walking distance) with lovely, well-tended gardens - beautifully manicured and perfect for enjoying afternoon tea. The lounge and bar area evoke the style of the 1930s/40s - perfect for relaxing with a g&t. The dining room though is bright and featureless - a disappointment. It's possible though to eat on the terrace away from the noise of the dining room (why do people want to share their video-calls with everyone?). It's not an intimate dining room - catering for families and groups. The food is fine - good selection and well prepared. But the menu is perhaps too big - trying to be too international. I'm not a fan of buffet food and I guess it's my fault for opting to try it...it was fine but I don't like some dishes being luke-warm nor others stirring through my food. Not all dishes claimed were available either. The bedroom (deluxe) was quite small, but adequate for a 2 night stay. It would benefit from some refurbishment, as could the bathroom. All dated rather than in keeping with period of the hotel. The bed, though very large, was also very hard and uncomfortable. The ensuite bathroom did need modernising. However I forgive these things in a hotel like this - i don't want my hotels to lack character. The staff, of course, were all fabulous and helpful!

This is an excellent hotel though not large. It sits on top of high ground and we see spectacular views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. The area around the hotel is clean and carefully well maintained. The rooms are classy with excellent views. Their buffet breakfasts and dinners are exceptional. Service staff are extremely helpful and courteous. We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we could have spent more time here. Getting to this hotel is a long drive ***** mountainous and very narrow roads which are in parts in need of repairs. So the hotel when you reach is like a veritable gem.

The property is very good and located in a very peaceful & beautiful location. The food quality is very very good and I liked the taste of food very much. Here in restaurant all staffs are very polite and very caring. In restaurant Alies, Anjali, Aruna, Suhasis, Suk Hamya & Himali were all very good. I liked their services very good. Nice treatment.

Excellent resort, amazing views, superb food. Staff is very helpful. Mt Kangchenjunga views early morning. Excellent Hospitality by Anjali, Hemlaly, Sukhengma, Alies, Aruna. Definitely will visit again soon. Best time to visit non Dec
