During my latest stay at this hotel, I was once again reminded of its exceptional qualities. The location, surrounded by majestic mountains, provided a stunning backdrop that never fails to awe. The staff, as always, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making every interaction a pleasant one. The swimming pool area remained a refreshing haven. What truly impressed me, just like in my previous visits, was the culinary experience. Despite the changes, the chef ensured that each meal was a delightful masterpiece. Even with food allergies, the chef took special care to create delectable dishes that my friend could safely enjoy. The hotel's continued commitment to being pet-friendly was a relief, as I could bring my furry in the future. It's worth noting that on my previous stays, the staff had been equally accommodating. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable service and attention to detail, this hotel consistently exceeds expectations. It's no surprise that I once again left with a sense of contentment and gratitude for the memorable experience.

Sadly the company who took over from Yvette and Terry in 2019 had no idea of hotel management. The beautiful retreat which Terry and Yvette had created was totally ruined by Singulars Hotels run by Max Porcuna and Silvia Ortiz. It is a very sad story. I understand that it is now being refurbished. I can’t wait for this, it is such a beautiful place and I would totally recommend a visit when it reopens.

I am the owner of this hotel. Our beautiful boutique hotel which my wonderful husband and I had worked on and loved for 5 years having spent 2 years renovating are heartbroken. We rented it in 2019 to a Max Porcuna and his partner Silvia Ortiz (Orts) and their friend Filipe Quelha the group was Singulars. They took it over and ruined it. They did not pay their rent and they ran the hotel into the ground and this year 2024 they went bankrupt. They would not leave the hotel eventhough they had eviction notices they were still advertising rooms on the booking sites and even rented it for 2 months to a film crew who trashed it. These people are disgusting how they ruin people lives and businesses and just walk away without taking any responsibility for the damage they have caused. I am now in the process of bringing the hotel back to how it was which is taking time so at the moment it is closed until further notice. I hope to return and reopen again in the near future. I am sorry for all the people who have been in contact with these terrible people. As you will see our reviews from 2014 up to early 2019 were fantastic but drastically declined from there which was sole destroying.

Beautiful hotel and setting nice little cosy room on the 2nd floor. We were the only guests who in this hotel midweek to visit the cocentina medieval market. The hotel had a massive problem with flies inside the hotel, including our room and restaurant. we actually killed over 10 flies in our room, but there were more.😠 We ate in the restaurant in the evening, and we were having a chat in the bar, and some laughs with the Moroccan female receptionist from Marrakech about her tooth being extracted 🤣 She is such a lovely girl who was learning to also be a waitress. The restaurant was full of flies, which was spoiling our evening. Also, i had the warm goat cheese salad, but the goats cheese was hard and cold. I then had the Cod with vegetables and roasted tomatoes and peppers. The dish came to me on a cold plate and my food was cold it also had a dead fly on the plate next to the cold Cod which i showed the waitress also the suckling pig that my wife choose and her vegtables and mash potatoes were also cold and served on a cold plate. The lovely waitress apologised and said she will leave a note about our complaints and problems with the food and flies for the early morning receptionist to compensate us for the appalling cold food and infestation of flies that ruined our evening meal and stay. We mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning, but she said there was no note left for her even though my wife pointed to a note on her desk with our room number clearly written on it.😠 The receptionist, after some time, said she would put it to her manager and she would email us about our concerns. Nothing yet!!!! She also said that she could not do anything to help us. We settled our bill and left. Please do NOT think we are regular complainers ...... we are not, and we are not those types of people who make a scene. We booked this hotel because of the reviews about the food and the service and location. One person on a review put the food on par with Michelin restaurant food, but unfortunately for us, this was not the case.😠 In our opinion, if the staff knew of this infestation of flies, they should have contacted us, and we would have made alternative arrangements as the hotel should have been closed to guests while this problem was being resolved. And the food..... well, the first rule in any kitchen is warm, clean plates to serve hot food and check food for temperature and any dead flies before taking it to the paying customer.

We were disappointed the restaurant was not fully working on the Tuesday night. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It is obvious that the hotel needs maintenance - for instance the windows badly need attention.

We had a fantastic stay with friends in this Beautiful, Clean hotel. The staff were amazing, helpful, friendly and attentive. It’s set in amazing scenery and we were greeted with a glass of cava on arrival. Nice indoor pool which we used. Our evening meal was fantastic, tasty and so well presented which was the same the next day for breakfast. Rooms are clean and modern decor. The only thing to mention was the bed was too soft for my liking.

The hotel itself is good, rooms nice, pool area lovely. It is very isolated with little to nothing nearby. Unfortunately they seem to run it with minimum staff so service is not great. Receptionist is very good, helpful and efficient. Bar staff are not - one was hopeless although tried and the second clearly didn't want to be working. We ordered from them 6 dishes for lunch and received a platter of cheese and platter of sausage....nothing else. The menu is limited and we know no more because food didn't arrive. They ran out of the white wine after two bottles, red wine after one and bottled beer after maybe 10 (between 5 people). We booked for 3 nights and left after one. It seems the hotel may be struggling to get staff or to survive.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay; the gardens and pool area are lovely, the room was stunning, the staff were charming and the views are spectaular.. The reason four for stars not five is that the food is good, but not outstanding. We had a good lunch, a very pleasant dinner and a good breakfast., As the hotel is only 1.5 hours from where we live on the coast and is ideal for a relaxing weekend we shall be back.

After staying here about 4-5 years ago we decided to return. Our stay for one night was a just terrible. The guy running the hotel was useless and other staff the same. Food was average at best with some of it being served cold, I will never stay at this hotel when we arrived grass was all uncut and outdoor swimming pool green.
