Turkey Run, voted best hiking in the Midwest, is only a 5 minute drive. 31 Covered Bridges, Shades State Park, Billie Creek Village, canoeing on Sugar Creek, and other attractions in beautiful Parke County are only a short drive away. The popular Jackson Covered Bridge is just a short walk down the road. Nearby Rockville has lots of cute boutiques and shopping to explore. The space: Beautiful views from all rooms including the dining room, living room, and fully stocked kitchen. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed, single bed, a comfy chaise lounge for enjoying the views, plus its own private deck. There's also a loft bedroom with a double bed and window seat, and a bunk bed sleeping area between the living room and primary bedroom. Enjoy the serene deck with a Weber propane grill, screened in porch, and tables and chairs, as well as the outdoor picnic table and firepit. Tree bathe right in the middle of the woods! Lots of games, toys, and books for all ages. This is the perfect place to retreat and enjoy nature, while still being minutes to all that stunning Parke County has to offer. Other things to note: We allow dogs in certain circumstances, but please contact us before booking if you want to bring a dog so we can send our pet policy. In winter months the home can be heated with 2 wood burning stoves in addition to using the furnace. Upon authorization we will share instructions on how to safely operate. It is not uncommon to see and hear a variety of wildlife during your stay.
