Since my return I cannot stop recommending this resort to everyone. I felt so cared for and no detail was missed down to the hot water bottles in my duvet every night! The food is hands down the best I’ve had at any resort and visiting masters Priscilla and Yamuna are life changing healers. If they are there during your stay you must book a session with them, and if they are not, wait until they come! You will not leave the same way you arrived.

Truly an exceptional experience — everything from the spa, horseback riding, and yoga lessons to the breathtaking surroundings made every moment unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, showing incredible attention to quality. This is by far the best resort/hotel in the world that I’ve ever stayed at. Many thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

Incredible Anniversary stay at Hacienda Altagracia! Our compas, Salome and Kevin, were attentive, responsive and on top of everything. The food is excellent and the staff at the restaurants and spa are friendly and helpful. Our Hacienda (15) with private pool is stunning and the housekeeping staff is excellent. Every night at turndown, we would be greeted with a relaxation tool and hot water bottles. Koen, the General Manager, is well-respected by his staff and he is heading up a well-run operation. He is very present, not hidden in an office, and we enjoyed speaking with him. You must try the banana bread at breakfast, yum! It was great to see the birds and butterflies enjoying the stunning flowers around the pool. The gym is large and clean with wet towels and there is plenty of hilly walking to be done along with nature hiking trails. It rained every afternoon so you have to get your sun first thing in the morning 8am - 11am if you enjoy that kind of thing. Mosquitos are fierce and are not deterred by bug spray. They provide bug spray and I brought my own which I finished in 3 days. The Visting Wellness coach was amazing and we had 2 sessions with Manjit Devgun which have changed our lives already. We are flying privately to Tamarindo airport for a few days on the beach next. Thank you Hacienda Altagracia for an unforgettable trip!

The really hidden property which is worth getting there.. healing nature, amazing food, the rooms (casita) which are breathtaking! it worth every single minute there, if you want a calm and rebalancing stay! Therapist Valeria is highly recommended.

Hacienda AltaGracia far exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly warm, and the service was prompt. Just about everyone I encountered referred to me by my name. The food was excellent, my casita had everything I needed and more, and the locale, amenities, and activities were amazing. I plan to go again.

The service and location were fantastic. Unfortunately my husband and I both got terrible food poisoning on our last evening at Hacienda and were sick for many days after our stay (we had to seek medical care in Costa Rica). We let the team at Hacienda know and the only follow up was that they would inform the kitchen. We expected a bit more from the team.

Everything was great. Very friendly staff. The territory is well-kept and thought out to the smallest detail. On the territory you do not feel the presence of other vacationers and can be alone. Beautiful view. Very beautiful butterfly garden.

The pictures and reviews do not do it justice. This resort will surpass your highest expectation, and there isn't a more friendly and luxurious resort Costa Rica than Hacienda AltaGracia. From arrival at their private airstrip to the personal send off, and everything inbetween was the epitome of perfect customer service.
