Mercure Perth on Hay

Even though fully paid, hotel still required your credit card for check-in. While the breakfast is more or less the same for the 4 days I stayed, the set dinner at A$22 is value for money though.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mercure Perth on Hay, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience from start to finish! ✨ The Stay: From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Their hospitality was top-notch, always friendly and ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was spotless, well-appointed, and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. The location was also perfect, making it easy to explore the city. 🍽️ The Breakfast: Hands down, one of the best parts of my stay! The buffet was well-stocked with fresh and delicious options, from warm pastries to a hearty selection of hot dishes. Plus, the coffee was fantastic—exactly what I needed to kickstart my day! If you’re looking for a comfortable, centrally located hotel with exceptional service and a great breakfast, I highly recommend Mercure Perth on Hay. 3rd stay here over last 6 or so months. I don't know, but it seems a bit less attractive to stay here now. The room is essentially minimalist but perfectly acceptable. Room was very noisy on level one next to an equipment room, but the rate I paid was good so I have no complaints on that. The really big issue was the clearly misleading marketing in the lifts. It advertised a breakfast deal for $20, but when I rang to book breakfast the receptionist had to check with someone and recieved a short reply "you have buy for every night of your stay". ie 5 breakfasts. The really great thing about this hotel is breakfast and more from 6am at the Dome, a west Australian cafe chain out the front two right turns, next corner. Unsure if I'll return to this hotel. For me now it's in thumbs down territory, primarily for the deception where it matters muchly, the stomach ransomed to the pocket.

Good place to stay - excellent value, great central location & near to everywhere you want to go. Rooms are spacious too. Highly recommended.

Must have been the worst room in the hotel, view roof with aircon units. Bathroom in need a major upgrade. Self check in, discouraged from asking for help, only time staff spoke to us was when we bought drinks.

The staff and hospitality was excellent. The two young men attending the symposium went out of their way to help & please us. I was going to write to the hotel to say how good they were.  We couldn’t get the aircon to work and the extractor fan in the bathroom was not obviously working. A bit dated but the beds were extremely comfortable. Would stay again but ask for a room not facing Hay street
