"I had the most dissatisfying stay recently at the Hampton Inn in Smithfield RI. This was a one night local getaway for me to have a little alone time, to get some work done, and to relax. I have often stayed at Hiltons but not at the particular location. Right off the bat I found the desk person to be grumpy, short with me, and unfriendly, Not to mention that when I arrived I had to wait for him at the desk as he was outside,
Once settled in my room the wifi was inaccessible. I tried several times and there just wasn't a strong enough signal for my computer to hook in. Not only was this disappointing but it didn't allow me to get the work done that I had planned on doing.
The room above me sounded like a bowling alley all night long so sleep wasn't possible.
In the morning the tv no longer worked, Seemed to possible be a bug with the clocks falling behind or something.
Then, when leaving, there wasn't even anyone at the desk to speak with - just a box to put in your plastic room key for disinfecting.
All in all it was a very disappointing stay and I won't be returning, "
