Premier Inn Peterborough North

I am a disabled person (amputee), I checked in with the hotel, went to the room and checked it out but there were a few issue with one being a major problem! First only 2 pillows and no spare, 1 bath and 1 hand towel so we had to ask for more, then there was the wet room chair for the shower my partner pulled it down and the rubber was all worn and in the holes for the water to drain the were all full of mould, damp and mildew which I found a really big problem. After we spent the night we went for breakfast the continental was absolutely fine but when we got our cooked breakfast the bacon was rock hard and my scrambled eggs were overcooked and because they had been under the hot plate some had stuck to the plate.

We used this Premier Inn for a one night stay as we were attending a party nearby. Overall I would say the hotel itself is about what you would expect for a Premier Inn and offered pretty good value for money. The rooms and general decor are looking a little tired but everything was clean and the bed was comfy. One slightly odd thing was the length of time the toilet took to refill after flushing which was a little inconvenient if you wanted to use the loo one after another! The breakfast area could have done with being tended to a little better, there were various bits of rubbish lying about and I am not convinced of the need to have an open bin right next to the table where the bread/toaster is kept! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I would like to give a particular mention to the little basket of cookies/biscuits which are left on the reception desk in the evening, these were just the ticket to go with my bedtime cup of tea when we returned from our evening out, very thoughtful indeed!

Beverley the receptionist is one of the best employees I've met. She's helpful, kind, friendly and navigational. Carefully explaining the best route to where you want to go. She's also very welcoming to all customers making sure their comfortable having everything they need meeting customers expectations with a smile

The room was grubby with cobwebs everywhere. The meal in the restaurant when it did eventually arrive after a 50 minute wait was below average. We travel for business often and have stayed in many premier inn hotels in the past but this has been the worst so far.

Arrived at the premier inn Peterborough north at 1530 on 14/1/25. I was allocated room 124. The cost was £137.00. Upon entering the room I found it be like an ‘icebox’. Freezing cold. The temp was 12%! There was a wall mounted heater that did not work. The stand alone heater was ineffective at heating the room. There was no spare pillows. Only two on the bed. I advised the receptionist who apologised but never offered any alternative. I found it difficult sleeping as I was so cold. I woke up several times during the night because I was cold! Also, the heating system though not working was a continuous loud hum all evening/morning. All in all a very poor standard of service, especially for the price I paid. I would respectfully request that I receive some form of reimbursement.

I previously stayed in this hotel. It as a pub next door which last time I stayed was terrible this is were you eat if staying at the hotel as there is no restaurant within the actual hotel. The hotel is everything you expect from a premier inn and the reception colleague was very helpful. The hotel has now taken over the pub and the service and food has vastly improved. It has a full range menu so sometime for everyone.
