I recently stayed at Palas Hotel in Montenegro, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. Food: The food was repetitive, inedible, and often lukewarm. Despite being someone who usually eats anything, we ended up spending an extra £800 dining at local restaurants just to avoid the hotel's offerings. Air Conditioning: The air conditioning was insufficient, leaving our room unbearably hot in the 36-degree weather. WiFi: The WiFi connection process was inconvenient, requiring us to connect through the TV in the room. When I asked for assistance at reception, the staff was unhelpful and sarcastic, rolling their eyes and asking if I had turned the TV on. Staff Attitude: The maintenance staff was particularly rude. When I welcomed him into the room to fix the air conditioning, he refused to speak to me, connected to the WiFi without explanation, and threw the remote on the bed. He then shrugged arrogantly when I mentioned the faulty air conditioning. Atmosphere: The hotel's atmosphere was hostile, particularly towards British guests. Most of the other guests were Serbian and frequently barged past without any consideration. Securing a sunbed required waking up at 6:15 am. Positives: The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the view. In summary, I would not recommend Palas Hotel. The poor service, hostile environment, and subpar amenities made for a disappointing holiday.

If you are considering to stay here for your trip, good luck. First time in Europe, before coming to Petrovac I stayed at a "one star" farm-stay for one night and i was amazed by the hospitality the hosts offered. But it is definitely not the case here. Upon arrival, the front desk took my passport and did not return it, saying they will collect "for a while", but of course, they did not return it after I have checked in. The attitude was disappointing as well, disinterested and ignorant. Offering no help at all, they just pointed us to look at the information provided in the tv in our rooms. After I got in my room, the safe was locked and I could not open it, so I went down to the front desk to ask for someone to help, but they told me it was Sunday and I will have to wait for one day for someone with the keys for help and asked me to leave my room. And unsurprisingly, they have never followed up on it, even they told me so. Then, when I asked if there's any bottled water or water kettle, they seem amused and just replied with a "no". Starting on from this point, I realised that I was misled by the "four-star" title of the hotel. Even the one star hotels I have stayed before are more willing to help, not to mention the front desk here knows how to speak fluent English so there were not any communication barriers. The "hotel" room is basically a room with a tv. The WIFI provided by the TV disconnects itself once a while, making web browsing as annoying as possible, making anyone impossible to stay focus online here. There are NO slippers, NO toothbrush, NO toothpaste. Amenities were next to non-existent, but it was still shown as a feature on websites describing the room. Come on, at least change your description so other can know they have to prepare themselves. Food was repetitive and boring. Everything other than the cold cuts are lukewarm and flavourless. For example, every meat offered were chewy and rough which are miles worst than a random restaurant on the streets in Podgorica. The drinks dispenser showed apple juice, orange juice, water and sour grape juice. And after clicking each of them one by one, the liquids came out were crystal clear - water, which is still better than the waterless breakfast I has on the first day. Air conditioning was not satisfactory as airflow inside the room is bad. You cannot directly contact the room service or front desk using the phone in he room, you have to go personally to ground floor to see them in person. When waiters dropped a pile of tissue to the ground because they accidentally bumped into a customer, they just picked it up and place all of them down to set a table. Staff attitude aligns with what the reviews said. Rude. Managers yet at the waiters and staff for mistakes which made me uncomfortable, front desk are useless at solving problems, and the room cleaners were the only that are relatively friendly which is surprising at this point. I tried a sip of tap water, but it tasted f

Rooms were spacious and clean. Sadly food was the same not only every day but also even for lunch and dinner it hardly changed but always plenty of choice and fresh and hot. Good selection for breakfast, but sadly, tea and coffee were from a machine. Wine at dinnertime was all on tap so the red was the same temperature as the white and rose! In fact most drinks were on tap except in the lounge bar where everything was served manually. Beautiful views over the sea but a very tiny private hotel beach. Also the hotel pool was rather small and always quite full with kiddies. The promenade in the evenings came alive with lots of street sellers and open-air bars so an ideal hotel setting.

A nice and well-maintained hotel, with mostly good service and helpful staff. The week's vacation offered the opportunity to relax well thanks to the hotel's good location and mostly functional services. We encountered some interesting deviations from the norm. Apparently, the hotel's restaurant staff is used to all-inclusive customers who settle for tap wine. Ordering wine separately for dinner felt like a special event. Worked, but required patience. A description of which hotel services are included in the room price and which are payable separately was missing and it was also difficult to find out. Another problem related to information related to the change of the dinner and breakfast restaurant to a restaurant that is difficult to find and difficult to reach for people with reduced mobility. Very ill-informed, several over 80-year-old customers who can't walk well are looking for a right restaurant room in a large hotel with lot of stairs. The staff tried to help as best they could, so the responsibility for poor organization falls on the hotel management. Half board included breakfast and a buffet dinner. For them, the hotel offered good value for money. The selection of the buffet line was plentiful and well prepared and tasty. Special thanks go to the liver steaks, whose doneness was just right.

This is not a 4 star superior hotel. The food is awful, there are very few staff. The so called spa is poorly maintained. The crazy golf is over grown, the standard of cleanliness in the rooms is low. Saturday night meal was moved to accommodate a private function followed by a noisy disco which went on to 1 a.m.

As others have said, this a good hotel let down by a poor, lukewarm and extremely repetitive food offering. Upon arrival, the buffet selection looked impressive but less so when presented pretty much identically over and over again at both lunch and dinner. If you are not a red meat eater you would struggle. Goodness knows how vegetarians fed themselves. Such a shame. The staff were great, my room was very good with a magnificent sea view. Both pools were good too and the supplied pool towels a bonus. The location right on the promenade and close to local restaurants and the harbour was perfect.

We were with a SAGA group. We had a very nice room with sea view but it had its faults. No Mini bar ( not really a problem but it was advertised as such) ; no plug in the hand basin… we were told they were on order. The safe door was locked and we were told that it couldn’t be opened because the man who does it was not at work. This was still the case 3 days later so we couldn’t both swim together because one of us had to guard the passports/money etc. Now my biggest complaint, what was described as a restaurant is actually a large canteen, very much like school but with food of a poorer quality. Seldom hot and the leftover food on offer at one meal was usually bought out again at the next meal. Also, around 30 steps down to the canteen, ok for us but some struggled. We were full board but ate out whenever we wanted a decent meal. So basically the hotel rooms and facilities just about come up to 3/4 star but the food is definitely 1 Star. I must add that the staff were pleasant and hard working.

My husband fell ill the morning of our return flight. Had to see the Doctor at the airport. Sickness and Diarrhoea still on going 7 days later. We are awaiting test results my guess is food poisoning. The food in the hotel restaurant wasn’t the best and we only ate there as we were all inclusive.
