Blanco Beach Bar Hostel

Blancos is a party hostel with very poor hygiene. The lockers in our room were destroyed and kicked in. Thankfully nothing was stolen. The plus side staff were helpful and offered a full refund. I do recommend the boat party blancos offers, best on the island! If you don’t mind dirty showers and run down bedrooms at expense for the party lifestyle blancos is for you.

It’s good location is about the only thing it has going for it. Other than that, the hygiene levels of this hostel are well below par. The cleanliness of the toilets/showers aren’t up to the right standards, increasing the risk of spreading illness amongst guests. Of the 7 friends I stayed here with, 6 got seriously unwell. The same was the case for many other guests at the hostel. Can’t slate it completely as the location and vibe in the evenings are great but please be very aware of the serious risk of becoming unwell during your stay.

The staff is really helpful, the moment you get there you feel like you surrounded by family. If you like to drink and party, meet some good people. That’s your place!!! Really recommend for backpackers ❤️

We had a horrible experience staying at Blancos. It is a party hostel which is what we were looking for so you accept that it will be loud and Sandy however it doesn’t excuse for how dirty the place is. The shower room was falling apart with no hook for the shower head or for towels etc. I woke up in the night to a centipede in my bed and when we complained to the staff they were rude and unhelpful. We checked out early and were still made to pay for the additional night (they hold your passport so we had no choice) It is also way overpriced, there are other hostels on the island charging the same that are 100x nicer. Wouldn’t recommend choosing this one.

Though I stayed at Blanco's sister hostel around the corner I came each of my 3 nights on Phi Phi. They have a wicked boat tour for about 1300 baht which included all the national park fees, snorkelling, kayaks and a meal on board, there is an option pre-buy drinks which if unused you can then use at Blancos another time. A lot of the staff are backpackers extending their stays on Phi Phi so there's always someone to ask for recommendations or help. The beach around the bar is stunning day or night, at night there is beer pong and free shots - whats not to love?

We were 4 girls staying here and it was the best decision! Every night was a fun party- with great people. We went in the boat trip, and did not regret it- a whole day of partying, snorkeling, and seeing everything you need to see in Phi Phi. Do yourself a favor and stay at Blanco🤩
