Sonder the Sloan

Location is walking distance to Penn and Acme (grocery store)Everything was well stocked in the unit and in the "Pantry". Very clean, and as always easy checkin and check out. Will be back to stay as it's the best value in the Philadelphia area.

Always great and better than a hotel! They have a gym and a kitchen and super clean and new and walking distance to restaurants and grocery and public transportation. Great hvac and smells fresh. Good night sleep! Secure and can store luggage day of leaving!

Convenient location to public transportation, great price especially compared to city hotels, nice new building and nice, new clean unit. In a neighborhood on the edge of University City which means it starts to look just a little sketch in the area. But we never felt unsafe, had any problems, or saw anything concerning. Just use good city common sense. Am posting the photo of the building to reassure anyone else who does a google street view and freaks out like I did because the street view photo was taken before the building was built. Parking was stressful the first day because Sonder tells you to use SpotHero which will send you an unacceptable distance away from the building especially if you’re trying to move around at night. There are several day lots nearby (no overnight) and plenty of street parking. Learn the Philly street parking app and system, street parking is free 8p-8a then you need to renew your parking session. So much easier ultimately than SpotHero. On the second night we managed to score a spot directly in front of the building. Using the Sonder app and check-in process was smooth. Be sure to download the app and watch closely for notifications and emails as you will have to upload photo ID. Be sure to check on all of that at least a day before arrival so you’re prepared. There is no front desk, you will need the app to manage your reservation. Overall, would recommend.
