2 min walk to Patong Beach. Room door lock malfunctioning. The staff took hours to solve the problem. Very bad experience.

Stayed here for the first times.. great hotel yet satisfying.. good location, friendly staff, 7-11 is just down the lobby, great range of movies in the room.. near the beach n food area.. simply the best!!

We had an excellent stay. The staff are very friendly and attentive, helpful and hospitable. Nice breakfast too. I will definitely stay again here. 2mins walk to Patong beach!

No room service, but then they brought us one drink out of two ordered. Pool closed at 8. A block from beautiful Patong Beach. Good breakfast. Pool bar is not really a pool bar, because pool’s not right next to the bar. Pool is nice. Open air reception, so hot.

Enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. A much better location to the beach, restaurants/ eateries, clean massages and shopping than the Holiday Inn resort.
The breakfast was great a lot of variety and the food was fresh, the egg stations made great omelettes 👍🏼.
Front office staff needs to be better trained especially the night shift crew, I needed help 1 night when I realised my lights in the room could not be switched on even after placing my key card in, she was SHOUTING on the phone that I needed to put my card in. Which I already did. Anyway, I requested for a maintenance crew to help and she used another card and it worked. 👍🏼
That front office staff seemed sheepish when she saw me but no apology for her rude shouting on the phone. I am guessing she had a very bad evening or insufficient sleep to work at the night shift causing the RUDE outburst.
Other than that it was great👍🏼👍🏼.. Holiday Inn Express, please take care of your staff’s mental wellness. 😟😔

Terrible stay. Avoid if you value your belongings and comfort.
This was my 6th or 7th time in Phuket, and sadly, my worst hotel experience so far. I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong, and the biggest issue was the ridiculous air
conditioning situation.
You are essentially forced to keep the room temperature at 20°C or below, even at night, or the entire room will be soaked from condensation.
I’m not sure if it’s a flaw in the building design or the centralised aircon system lacking proper dehumidification, but the moment you raise the temperature to 21°C or 22°C, everything becomes wet. I’m talking about the floor, tables, electronics, passports, everything will get damp. I almost slipped and fall a few times as the floor is wet!
We had to sleep in sweaters just to stay warm because adjusting the temperature was not an option. And the hotel staff clearly know about it, and their solution is to keep the AC below 20°C. I’ve been to Phuket many times, even during the monsoon season, and never encountered anything like this.
This hotel clearly has a long-standing, unresolved humidity problem.
