My experience was pathetic. Cheap I must say. Though the rooms were cleaned nicely by the staff and beds were comfortable but that were the only positives. The worst aspect of this hotel which I think should be the first priority in this business is the hospitality i.e how you treat your guests/visitors. Coming back to the hotel after a tiring day on 20th Dec 2024, the receptionist shows me the towel from my room and tells me that I will be charged 500 Baht for it! as it was soiled with smudgy spots. I was told that I should get this washed myself and if it comes out clean then I won’t be charged else 500 Baht! Now, my disappointment is…I have stayed at multiple hotels across countries and no hotel is so conscious about their towels that they tell the customer to pay a penalty or get it washed! So cheap! They don’t bother so much about it as it can be cleaned. I spent an hour to make the staff understand but then I gave up, took the towel with me and guess what!…I bought a Vanish oxi action powder for 15 Baht from an 7 eleven, used it myself and all the stains were gone!!! Just think about it!…they could have got the stains cleaned themselves like in any hotel they normally bleach their white clothes, but these guys did not attempt only and were ready to confront and charge a hefty 500B to the customer for it. Secondly, which hotel in this world puts up a photo frame on the walls in the room mentioning the amount of all the amenities in the room! ***! Felt so cheap that the owner thought of mentioning the penalty prices of each and every item like spoons, towels, cups etc. (I took a pic of it, I would love everyone to see the picture I attach) Also, they give no toothbrush and toothpaste, they also take a deposit amount of 1000 Baht in the beginning which is not mentioned anywhere. I think the owner must have had a bad experience with a customer in the past but he needs to get over his PTSD and ensure real service/hospitality in the hotel business. Currently, I am staying in KL in a hotel that even greeted me with Xmas goodies. Now I would never expect extras or goodies but U Sabai Living should get their manners and atleast basic amenities right!
