Surachet at 257 Boutique House

We stayed in February 2025, very close to the Old Quarter, the room is clean, but a bit noisy from the road. The staff is friendly, the kitchen has a kettle, tea, sugar, coffee, microwave. I would be happy to stay here again.

This is a very cheap room, so I am not writing a negative review, but something to be prepared for. A purely Thai room - it matches the photos, but in the photos it looks better than in real life. There are one and a half sockets in the room. Why one and a half? Because one socket was used for the TV - and it was used to charge the equipment (the location is just disgusting, you can't use the phone while it is charging, because the socket is high). And half of the socket is near the bed - it seems to be an existing socket, but you can't reach it - there is not enough space to insert the charging unit :) This is a room that saved on everything - after the first night my back hurt terribly from the mattress. A small window that looks out onto the neighboring window. The tap in the bathroom was leaking, so at night we had to close the door to stop the noise, there was no water control in the tap :) And no shelves near the bed - if you need to put something, put it on the floor :) On the plus side - the staff is just wonderful! There is a separate relaxation area near the reception + a small pond with fish at the end of the corridor. Last day I found out that there is a common area with a kitchen, where you can get free (probably) tea, coffee. And there are separate washing machines and dryers (cost - about 50-60 baht for everything)

Sono stato una settimana in questo hotel, partiamo dal check in che è stato un'odissea farlo. Arriviamo lì verso le 20.30 e non si poteva entrare perché la porta si apriva solo con la tessera magnetica che ci avrebbero dato dopo il check in. Alla reception non c'era nessuno come tutti i giorni che siamo stati lì, solo la mattina presto era presente qualcuno poi era sempre non custodita. Per fare il check in si doveva telefonare ad un numero, ma avendo una E-SIM non potevamo telefonare, ma solo chiamare tramite w.app che però non aveva il proprietario. Per pura fortuna è arrivata una cliente che quanto ci ha fatto entrare e telefonare al proprietario che oltretutto non ha nemmeno risposto. Sul bancone erano presenti le chiavi con i nostri nomi ed avevamo deciso di prendere per entrare nelle camere, quando all'improvviso è arrivato il proprietario col motorino che ci ha fatto fare il check in. Per quanto riguarda la camera è sprovvista di cassaforte nonostante su booking era scritto ci fosse, il bagno è piccolo non finestrato con lo specchio lontano dal lavandino. Una sera la porta del mio bagno non si apriva come se fosse stata chiusa all'interno, per fortuna non mi è capitato quando ero dentro al bagno altrimenti senza telefono non saprei come avrei fatto a farmi liberare. Il proprietario non poteva riparare la porta perché era mezzanotte e quindi per usufruire del bagno durante la notte o la mattina appena sveglio sono dovuto andare al bagno al primo piano della reception.
