Mixed Experience at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay My recent 7-night stay at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay had both positive and disappointing aspects, leaving me with a mixed overall experience. On a positive note, the hotel extended a kind gesture by upgrading our room from a Deluxe Room to a Pool Suite for the first two nights, and I had already booked the Pool Suite for the subsequent 5 nights. The room was comfortable, with a fantastic view, and the breakfast offerings were diverse, featuring both Asian and Western options. However, the positive aspects were overshadowed by the consistently rude behavior of the staff. Throughout our stay, my family and I felt unwelcome, as if our presence inconvenienced the staff. Simple requests, like asking for a fork, were met with eye rolls and an unwarranted attitude, detracting from the overall enjoyment of our stay. Notably, a negative incident occurred concerning a complimentary 90-minute presentation for a free Phi Phi Island trip. Due to my 2.5-year-old son's difficulty adjusting to the new environment, I had to cancel the presentation a day in advance. The staff's response was unprofessional and lacked empathy, placing blame on us for potential performance incentives and suggesting we should not have booked the trip at all. Despite a few exceptions, the majority of the staff displayed a disappointing lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to my child falling ill, prompting an early checkout and reinforcing my decision to not recommend Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay for future stays. This experience marked my first and last visit to this hotel.

I stayed here one night as part of my 2022 north - south road trip. I chose it because it had parking which I found was challenging when staying at inexpensive guest houses or hotels in the neighborhood. Anyway, this place is really grotty and dated. At a walk-in rate of 700 THB it only warrants two dots on a good day. Oddly enough, I was the only guest staying here. On a positive note, the front desk staff was very friendly and the air-conditioning worked fine.

The hotel is very close to Kamala Beach. It's just a five-minute walk to the beach. The whole suite is very large. There is a microwave, induction cooker, refrigerator, and pots and dishes. You can buy frozen food in the supermarket and bring it back to the room to heat it up. The overall is very good. The private swimming pool in the room is very hidden and can't be seen from the outside. You can play with small bubbles in the water. If you really want to swim, you should go to the hotel's outdoor large swimming pool. It's best to choose a room near the inside. The room near the road is a bit noisy at night because of the sound of motorcycles passing by.

A super surprise stop, the hotel aunt is super attentive and at home. She thinks of everything in advance for us. If you don't understand, you can directly ask aunt, she is very good in Chinese. I have been communicating with Xiaobei before, and thought it was a cute little sister, but it turned out to be Xiaobei's handsome guy, who is also super nice, and has been helping me solve the problem before I set off. It was a very good stop. My husband and I were very tossed. We booked a few hotels and we didn't stay here enough. We will book here next time and stay a few more days. The location is in the Kamala area of Phuket Island, about ten kilometers away from the lively Patong. It is suitable for family trips to rent a car or rent a motorcycle. It is very cool to rent a motorcycle. Aunty took us to rent a very new motorcycle. (Auntie also took us to buy super delicious durians. The price is great) Follow the Google map and you won't get lost wherever you go. If you don't rent a car, the aunt can still take it out by car, which is very considerate. It is also suitable to play in Patong for a few days before coming here. The villa is very safe and very quiet.

Our experience at Twinpalms MontAzure was amazing to say the least. From the moment we arrived up until the very last minute, all our needs were catered for. We stayed in the grand Azure suite which was lovely, modern and spacious. The shimmer restaurant had a great range of food and all of the staff was so friendly and were always willing to help. There was a trainee guy at reception that was always so sweet and helpful, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. All in all Twinpalms MontAzure was fabulous an experience, me and my boyfriend would definitely stay again!
