We had a lovely overnight stay here at Sennen House. We were super impressed with how beautiful the grounds were and how clean the rooms were. And the bed! It was one of the most comfortable ones we've slept on in a long while! Our hosts were very friendly, warm, and welcoming and gave us plenty of recommendations to do to get the most out of our time in Picton. Seriously, the hike they told us about was GORGEOUS, and their winery recommendations were on point. Couldn't recommend a better place once you get to the South Island.

We had a fabulous stay at Sennen House in March this year. We were in the James Cook apartment - really gorgeous, comfortable accommodation with two bathrooms and two balconies with lovely views over the gardens. It was great to be able to have breakfast at a time to suit us and we could walk into Picton in under twenty minutes. Quiet and peaceful at night. Michelle and Stefan are the perfect hosts with Michelle taking the trouble to send a sponge bag we'd forgotten onto our next accommodation! I'd definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to return to New Zealand.

This B&B is beautiful, it is just a 15/20 minute walk to the front and is set in beautiful surroundings . Stefan met us off the train, drove us to Sennen House and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Queen Charlotte. There was a beautiful 4 poster bed, the room was immaculate with sensational views. There was also 2 slices of homemade banana loaf and a bowl with fresh fruit in. There was a table that was set in readiness for breakfast the following morning. The room had a kitchenette, this was located behind two large wooden doors. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, egg boiler and coffee machine. There was everything we needed for breakfast, eggs, bread, fruit, yogurt, cheese, jam, honey, cereal, milk, water and fresh orange juice. Stefan very kindly took us to the train station the following morning. We can’t recommend this beautiful B&B enough. Absolutely stunning. David and Julianne Bullock from the UK

What a joy! I would not hesitate to recommend Sennen House as a perfect place to stay in Picton if you are looking for something a little bit special. An historic residence with an interesting history now owned & hosted by Michelle & Stefan. There are little luxuries at every turn in this boutique hotel set in lovely grounds & just an easy 15 minutes stroll into town. Breakfast was superb & we were able to enjoy it in the convenience of our own room when it suited us. A big thank you Michelle & Stefan who truly went the extra mile in making our stay so perfect.

Character property with spacious accommodation. We had a lounge, and kitchenette and large balcony. Breakfast supplies provided. Well located in a quiet cul-de-sac, walkable to town centre, bars, restaurants and water taxis. Very helpful hosts.

In many respects this should get a 5***** review, as the attention to detail and all the little extras are just superb. But it was all a little too much for me. And please, the gravel drive doesn’t work with heavy wheeled suitcases.
