The room is nice. It would be nice if the bathroom could be in the room, otherwise it would be very inconvenient. It is very quiet at night, but at the same time it seems that the sound insulation is not very good. Afraid of disturbing others.

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Gables. We were in a cottage, and had plenty of space - living area, basic kitchen, separate bedroom with bathroom. Comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious (toast, jams, fruit, yogurt, homemade croissants, juice) and delivered to us in our cottage. Coffee and tea were available in our kitchenette, and I think hot breakfast was available to order for a small extra charge. We were quite comfortable temperature wise, and there was a fan - but note that there is no AC. The staff were superb, very attentive and ensured we were happy and had everything we needed! We had a parking spot, and the location is excellent - walk to ferries, museums, restaurants, bakery, laundromat, etc.

We stayed in one of the adorable cottages at the back of the property, away from the road. It has a little kitchen with everything you might need, a nice table and couches, and a very comfortable bed. All the fixtures are antique but work perfectly. It even has its own little private yard. Highly recommended.
