The Gregory

This was the worst stay I have ever had at an bed and breakfast. The biggest problem I had is the manager that is very bad. 1. He was supposed to order me supper at 17:30 on Monday he guaranteed me he ordered the food and every hour I asked where is the food he said he will check on Uber eats and never came back with an answer, 3.5hours later he did not answer my calls and I had to go out and get my own food. No one takes me for a joke like that. 2. Tuesday morning There was no eggs for breakfast after I told them I wanted eggs for breakfast, it is simple just plan, again terrible management. 3. The security gate was broken and standing open for 2 days with the alarm going off whole night last night and security kept on bothering the tenants staying here and we could not rest properly. I really think with better management this place could be a lot better.

Where to begin? A little history here, I finally located my adopted brother and after 51 years we finally through DNA tests met up. I immediately planned a secret trip up to meet him and his incredible family as a supprise. Not knowing Durbs so well inland, I randomly chose accommodation near his home. This was unfortunately a bad choice. Once we supprised the said family it was like we knew each other forever! They without hesitation highly recommended The Gregory which they helped us transfer to. Well we never looked back! The staff were incredible, the food which we chose to have in our rooms, was yummy! Greg is a brilliant owner and he personally welcomed us. We understand through floods etc they still some parts they are fixing and still building on, but our room was heaven. The balcony overlooking all of the beautiful trees. We were so sad to leave as the new family spent time there with us for drinks and a get together 🥺. We missed our flight back to CT by minutes and I incorrectly booked the wrong date for an additional night at the Gregory🤭 but once again the amazing staff reversed the payment and even drove us to a nearby B and B. As an ex tour operator I cannot recommend a nicer place for a wedding, corporate function, a special birthday, or just a date weekend! Thank you Greg and staff or an incredible stay so many happy memories. All your staff huge hugs from us all! Good luck with all your new ventures!

Overpriced. Owner threatened me when I asked for refund because I complained I didn't like sitting outside the gate for an hour because they have zero service should you check in late. VERY BAD GO ELSEWHERE THE OWNER GREGORY MUNDELL THREATENED TO BEAT ME UP. WORST EXPERIENCE AT ANY SERVICE LEVEL IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. RUN AND DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE.
