Pingyao Hotels with Bars

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

The room is not big, but it is very unique. It is a renovation of a historical building. The main thing is to feel the stay. The hotel is in the scenic area. The car needs to be parked in the large parking lot. If you don't have much luggage, you can walk to the hotel. If you have luggage, the hotel will send a small electric donkey to pick it up. I would like to mention the hotel's restaurant in particular. The decoration and dishes are very unique. It is a rare meal.

We are impressive for service and welcome drink. The location is good where located in the heart of ancient city. The room is clean, comfortable but the bed is a little hard. If i have chance to come back, I will choose this hotel. Recommend to you!!!

After driving from Beijing to Xi'an and back to Beijing, I was too tired to find a place to rest in Pingyao. I booked a hotel casually. It turned out to be unexpectedly good. The environment is very clean and the decoration in the style of the Republic of China is quite unique. The underground parking is very convenient. Next to it is the Pingyao Theater. A few steps away from the back door of the courtyard is the wall of Pingyao Ancient City. The night view is very beautiful. The breakfast is not very luxurious, but it basically has everything it should have, and it is also OK. I highly recommend the hotel I stayed in. The service attitude is super good. When I checked out, they also gave me the special Shanxi vinegar. When I left, I accidentally left Xiaobao's book. I communicated with him in time and mailed it back. I recommend it. Pingyao is really good now. I didn't have time to play this time. I will come next time.

I never comment, except this time. The hotel service is really good. They sent a car to pick us up from the station. Cars are not allowed to enter the ancient city. There was also a clerk waiting at the parking spot to pick us up and take us to the hotel. They will give suggestions for sightseeing, eating and transportation, which are sincere and detailed. When we left, we arranged a drop-off at the station. Our schedule was somewhat delayed. There was someone waiting at the hotel to take us to the station outside the ancient city. In short, we could feel the care for the guests staying in the hotel. The room is very clean and the layout is very warm. There is a main street outside the store and there are many people, but the small courtyard is very quiet and comfortable. I am very satisfied with this trip to Pingyao. This has a lot to do with the hotel. This is the second time I have come to Pingyao. I will come again in the future and I will choose this hotel again.

Trip did NOT indicate that hotel provides free shuttle to and from airport and train station. We went through some problems to get through to the hotel and request shuttle from east gate as the taxi is not allowed to enter the old city. The shuttle together with the receptionist promptly showed up and fetch us right on the dot at the gate. Wendy was exceptionally helpful; lugged our suitcase and showed us our room. On check out, arranged from shuttle to send us to the train station, waved goodbye and saw us off.

With my father and mother, the check-in experience was great. (The front desk upgraded it for free) Especially in terms of facilities, the characteristic big kang can accommodate three people, the mattress and pillow are moderately soft and hard, the lighting is soft, which can relieve the fatigue of the day very well, the small kang table, sitting together, drinking tea and chatting, it is particularly comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the countertops and mirrors are bright and clean. It can be said that the facilities are complete, the hygiene is spotless, the service is warm and thoughtful, the environment is elegant and atmospheric, and it makes people feel comfortable, great!

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the central streets and various attractions. It is worth mentioning that the hotel is very friendly to guests who come by public transportation, and can provide free pick-up and drop-off at the station, which is great. I will definitely stay here again, no problem.

酒店環境很好，服務周到，早餐品種多而且分時段連續不斷地供應，在規定時間內，早餐餐品沒有斷缺。晚上還附贈免費橫坡村燈光秀之旅。酒店後面 100米就是＜又見平遙＞的實景演出場地，離平遙古城入城口 800米左右，交通非常便利。

100% satisfied and so happy that I chose this Hotel ! The Building was so beautiful...I could not stop taking pictures. Location right next to the walking streets. The Staff was very attentive and used their translation app to communicate with me. I can hands down recommend this place to foreigners,as the staff will make sure you are taken care of ! The room was just like in the pictures and the bed was comfortable. The sheets and towels fresh and clean. Prepare for a delicious and healthy chinese breakfast. No need to look further -stay here and you will not be disappointed.
