GreenTree Inn Express Hotel, from the design to the decoration pattern, is very in place, antique, consistent with the appearance of the scenic spot, prosperous, festive, and people like it. But the cleanliness in the hotel room is really poor. There are hairs on the carpet, instant noodle scum, etc., plus black stains. This is the dirtiest stay in the travel, which affects what I see when I book the next hotel The word ”Green Tree Inn” was quickly crossed. In fact, the next one may not be like this, but the very dirty carpet is disgusting. I sincerely hope that the hotel can act quickly to clean the rooms thoroughly, welcome May Day with a new look, and welcome more customers.

Fantastic ancient Chinese lodging with modern amenities. You get the chance to sleep on a Luohan bed. The room is a suite! Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked. They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left. P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

Really love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

Excellent location near the South Gate and easy access to Main Street in the old town. Looks a little rundown but perhaps it was the look it as trying to keep. Unsure. Classic chinese style room (nice!!) with Kang Bed meant for those who are accustomed to hard bed. Toilet and shower are not separated. Provide high speed train station pickup and drop off which are big pluses. Helpful front desk.

I took my kids out to play and stayed at Yunjincheng Mansion. It is a very good hotel. Before I came, the housekeeper Juaner contacted me and sent me some travel information. She was very considerate. She indicated the route on the day of check-in. In order to consider the traffic jam problem for the guests, she arranged staff to pick them up in advance. The journey was smooth. The staff took the luggage throughout the journey. I was very satisfied. The service is really the ceiling of the hotel. My stay at the Red Lantern Inn in Pingyao was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, the owner was incredibly friendly and provided full-service hospitality. I was even greeted with a thoughtful gift of vinegar upon check-in. The hotel is unique and charming, not your typical modern hotel. The reception is located in a shop at the front, but the hotel's name is clearly displayed, making it easy to find. The directions on Trip.com were accurate, and although it’s a bit of a walk from the North Gate, it’s worth it. The atmosphere of the inn is enchanting, transporting you to old-world China. The rooms are simply designed yet very comfortable. The hotel also offers traditional costume rentals for photos, which was a fun experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The owner helped us arrange a bus for sightseeing and even provided a free ride to the Pingyaogucheng Railway Station, despite it being quite far. The car was spacious and comfortable. To top it all off, I experienced my first snowfall here, making my stay even more magical. I highly recommend the Red Lantern Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao. It’s a place that offers not just a stay, but an unforgettable cultural experience!

After driving from Beijing to Xi'an and back to Beijing, I was too tired to find a place to rest in Pingyao. I booked a hotel casually. It turned out to be unexpectedly good. The environment is very clean and the decoration in the style of the Republic of China is quite unique. The underground parking is very convenient. Next to it is the Pingyao Theater. A few steps away from the back door of the courtyard is the wall of Pingyao Ancient City. The night view is very beautiful. The breakfast is not very luxurious, but it basically has everything it should have, and it is also OK. I highly recommend the hotel I stayed in. The service attitude is super good. When I checked out, they also gave me the special Shanxi vinegar. When I left, I accidentally left Xiaobao's book. I communicated with him in time and mailed it back. I recommend it. Pingyao is really good now. I didn't have time to play this time. I will come next time.

Three Spanish friends, who spent the night in Pingyao. Li, the host of the hotel treated us super well, he picked us up at the train station and even brought us back when we left since we were a little short on time. Good experience in this boutique Hutong hotel in Pingyao . The room is big and extremely comfortable , the breakfast is in a local style , the cleaning is fine and the architecture is amazing . Really easy to get from the central train station and inside the ancient city.
