Had an upgrade to a warmer room, the location is great for history enthusiasts. Room is clean, and spacious. Location is in the ancient city, about 5 mins walk to the main street. And 5 mins from the city gates.

Lovely stay in the ancient city walls. Owners very attentive, with a great local breakfast and logistics support. Hotel located in a quiet part of the city and has lots of character.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. It's located within the ancient town of Pingyao. It's atmospheric and staying in this town really makes you feel like you have travelled back in time. The room is big enough for our family of 5.

Very very nice stay, Mr Li and Mrs Li were very hospitable and welcoming. Mrs Li makes a very nice local breakfast that is a great start to the day. The property is at a quiet corner within the old city, very near the main sights but yet nice and quiet and night. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

amazing authentic courtyard! The owner is extremely helpful and can be reached easly. Rooms are super big with soft comfy beds. It was my best stay in Pingyao so far. I really recommend!

Good experience in this boutique Hutong hotel in Pingyao . The room is big and extremely comfortable , the breakfast is in a local style , the cleaning is fine and the architecture is amazing . Really easy to get from the central train station and inside the ancient city.

It was a beautiful hotel in a very historic building. The owner was very enthusiastic and friendly. He offered us pick up from the train station. Everything worked out just nicely and we can recommend this place. It is about seven minutes walk to the beautiful main roads.

We are truly impressed by the Jinxuan Hotel and had a wonderful time here. Communication was smooth, the local breakfast was delicious – and best of all, the traditional Chinese architecture made our stay in Pingyao feel like a journey back in time.
All major attractions are just a few minutes’ walk away, which made everything even more enjoyable. We were also picked up from the train station and brought back, which was incredibly convenient and thoughtful.
An unforgettable experience – we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pingyao.
We’re genuinely sad to leave.
