Pingyao Hotels with Airport pickup service

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

Really love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

We were a group of four people. We arrived at the parking lot at the Ximen Gate of the ancient town. The electric car arranged by the B&B in advance was waiting. We took our luggage and sent it directly to the B&B. The boss greeted us at the door early. The luggage was delivered to the room while we checked in. The B&B is equipped with floor heating and air conditioning. It is not afraid of cold weather. Knowing that there are four of us, quilts, pillows and toiletries were also delivered. The B&B also displays a lot of treasures; the environment is hygienic, warm and comfortable, the service is thoughtful, and the staff is very diligent. They are always cleaning and wiping. The boss's wife is kind and kind. When we were catching the plane on the way back, she knew that we didn't make an appointment to send the motorcycle, and she helped to contact us. She also sent express delivery for the lost items. Great! I also like her breakfast, millet porridge, nine-square lunch box, exquisite and not wasteful, just suitable for me who has difficulty choosing, different styles, local Pingyao beef is also among them; in addition, yogurt, coffee, various beverages, etc. are also provided, all self-service! There is also a cat in the B&B, named Zhaocai. It is very docile and you can pet it at will, but it is too lonely. It would be perfect if there was another Jinbao!

If you want to explore the ancient town of Pingyao, then this hotel is fantastic. It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city. With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time. I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite. All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.

Living in the ancient city, it is very quiet to sleep at night. The courtyard is very large, it is a good place to take travel photos, and any photo you take is a blockbuster. The boss is very nice, and the car pick-up and drop-off is really good. It feels like home. Breakfast is provided

This is a homestay transformed from the old house of Hou Wangbin, which is more than 300 years old. Every brick and tile was built at that time. On this basis, it has been carefully designed and renovated. It is a magical thing to live in this 300-year-old house in Pingyao Ancient City and experience the flow of time! The housekeeper service of the homestay is very professional and in place. Not only did they help pick up and drop off the luggage, but they also recommended tour routes and locations according to our time in Pingyao. You must go to the restaurant for dinner. It is said that the authentic Pingyao local chef has been here for more than 20 years. Every dish is exquisite and delicious, and the ingredients are very good!

I took my kids out to play and stayed at Yunjincheng Mansion. It is a very good hotel. Before I came, the housekeeper Juaner contacted me and sent me some travel information. She was very considerate. She indicated the route on the day of check-in. In order to consider the traffic jam problem for the guests, she arranged staff to pick them up in advance. The journey was smooth. The staff took the luggage throughout the journey. I was very satisfied. The service is really the ceiling of the hotel. The room is clean and sanitary, the facilities are complete, and the dean is very unique. A vibrant hotel.

The Red Lantern Hostel in Pingyao offers both a real journey through time and all the modern conveniences. The welcome was very friendly, smiling and kind. I immediately felt at ease here. The room is large, the bed is huge and the heated floor was a real treat compared to my previous hotels where I was much colder! The room is well appointed and even if it shows signs of wear, it is clean, stylish and comfortable. But what I liked most about this hostel is the magnificent inner courtyard and the small rooftop and its lanterns (lit at night, it's just splendid!). Another bonus point: the breakfast (Chinese style, but that's what we're here for, right? ;)) and the little welcome gift, a bottle of local vinegar. In short, I highly recommend this hostel located in the heart of the old town, and what's more it's a good deal!

After driving from Beijing to Xi'an and back to Beijing, I was too tired to find a place to rest in Pingyao. I booked a hotel casually. It turned out to be unexpectedly good. The environment is very clean and the decoration in the style of the Republic of China is quite unique. The underground parking is very convenient. Next to it is the Pingyao Theater. A few steps away from the back door of the courtyard is the wall of Pingyao Ancient City. The night view is very beautiful. The breakfast is not very luxurious, but it basically has everything it should have, and it is also OK. I highly recommend the hotel I stayed in. The service attitude is super good. When I checked out, they also gave me the special Shanxi vinegar. When I left, I accidentally left Xiaobao's book. I communicated with him in time and mailed it back. I recommend it. Pingyao is really good now. I didn't have time to play this time. I will come next time.

The whole house is very simple and beautiful. I found out it was the old house of Zhang family after I came here. I came with my parents, family and children. I booked a parent-child room. The three-meter kang has a 1.6-meter kang, which is very spacious. The furniture and doors are very stylish! The overall stay was very pleasant and clean! The boss was very considerate in picking up and dropping off the luggage. If there were any questions, WeChat calls would be answered and replied immediately! It is also close to Yamen Street and South Street. It is also very quiet at night. It is also close to the South Gate Light Show, which is convenient for travel! If I have the opportunity to come to Pingyao in the future, I will come again!
