This is a gorgeous hotel that is centrally-located inside the ancient city with great service. It’s like living in a museum! The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed. The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station. The service was wonderful. No complaints! If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I took my kids out to play and stayed at Yunjincheng Mansion. It is a very good hotel. Before I came, the housekeeper Juaner contacted me and sent me some travel information. She was very considerate. She indicated the route on the day of check-in. In order to consider the traffic jam problem for the guests, she arranged staff to pick them up in advance. The journey was smooth. The staff took the luggage throughout the journey. I was very satisfied. The service is really the ceiling of the hotel. The room is clean and sanitary, the facilities are complete, and the dean is very unique. A vibrant hotel.

After driving from Beijing to Xi'an and back to Beijing, I was too tired to find a place to rest in Pingyao. I booked a hotel casually. It turned out to be unexpectedly good. The environment is very clean and the decoration in the style of the Republic of China is quite unique. The underground parking is very convenient. Next to it is the Pingyao Theater. A few steps away from the back door of the courtyard is the wall of Pingyao Ancient City. The night view is very beautiful. The breakfast is not very luxurious, but it basically has everything it should have, and it is also OK. I highly recommend the hotel I stayed in. The service attitude is super good. When I checked out, they also gave me the special Shanxi vinegar. When I left, I accidentally left Xiaobao's book. I communicated with him in time and mailed it back. I recommend it. Pingyao is really good now. I didn't have time to play this time. I will come next time.

My children (18/16 yo) stayed at Pingyuan Mansion for two nights. Our taxi from the Pingyao railway dropped us at the South Gate of the city wall. He called the hotel, who sent a trolley to pick up as they were not allowed inside the city wall. It has two lovely courtyards. Our room had automations everything. Breakfast was amazing for those who like of varieties of small dishes. The staff made arrangements to drop us off the railway. It is only a few alleys away from the excitements of street vendors, music, sit down restaurants and shops. You won’t be disappointed staying with them. Truly an authentic Pingyao stay.

Facilities: Double wash basins, details are in place. The bathroom has an emergency call button, and the door is difficult to close. Hygiene: in place Environment: It should be the largest hotel in Pingyao Ancient City. The shuttle bus can drive directly to the entrance of the ancient city pedestrian street. The hotel is right there. Get off and enter the hotel. Service: in place. Free car pick-up and drop-off outside the ancient city. Breakfast: There are quite a lot of varieties. Wontons are made and cooked on the spot. Delicious. Round-trip shuttle service at the ancient city parking lot. Soft drinks at the MINI bar: Several free drinks. Seasonal welcome fruits: The fruits are very fresh.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, clean rooms and warm and thoughtful service. When my family members came back, they all said that the hotel we booked for them was perfect, the boss was responsible and attentive, and the pick-up at the high-speed rail station was especially great! You don't have to worry about anything at all. When you arrive at the hotel, they will provide you with a map for planning. It's so worry-free! The antique decoration style of the courtyard and the beds with zero-pressure mattresses in the rooms are so comfortable! High cost-effectiveness, not far from the center of the ancient city. Overall, this hotel is quiet and comfortable in the ancient city, and is the best choice for staying in Pingyao Ancient City.

對着個女神節，又是個週六日，與媳婦兒忙中偷閑，去了趟平遙古城，在網上預訂了這家酒店，從預訂後，就有管家聯繫，高鐵站接站又是出乎意外的驚喜，給媳婦兒送的女神節鮮花（前提是我都沒送） 還有伴手禮（精美的首飾盒）。這次入住體驗堪稱完美！酒店的服務無可挑剔，從前台到客房服務，熱情周到。房間寬敞明亮，設施一應俱全，床品柔軟舒適，酒店的地理位置也非常優越，（就在古城內）無論是硬件設施還是服務質量，都達到了頂級水準。細節處處體現用心，隨時準備為客人提供幫助。（又見平遙晚上十點半結束，管家小哥提前十分鐘等候接回酒店）這是一次無可挑剔的入住體驗，強烈推薦給所有追求品質的旅行者！ 這家酒店完全超出了我的預期！

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

Really love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.
