Villagio Boutique Hotel

The house has been beautifully updated where necessary, furnished and decorated in a unique style. Everything about it (host included) is warm and welcoming. We’ve stayed there twice and we will definitely stay there in future trips to Pittsburgh.

Great host (with lots of knowledge of the city), large rooms with incredible decor (antique, deco, nouveau) and a wonderful breakfast. Quiet location (w/ parking), but close enough to all the fun stuff. We couldn't recommend it more.....

My wife and I had an evening away from our Toddlers, and I booked the Oleander room as a surprise. Seeing this mansion in person was even better than the pictures! Every room had a tasteful and thoughtful blend of both Victorian and Caribbean themes, and sitting in the Courtyard felt almost like we were staying in an old mansion straight out of a movie. Ed and Rayzette were wonderful hosts, and the whole place was clean with several places to sit and chat, as well as beautiful antiques. Our room was clean and actually had windows on both sides to be able to let in both the sunset and the sunrise, with a lovely sitting area and fireplace. The ensuite bathroom had a charming clawfoot tub and beautiful accents. Again, everything was clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was filling without being overly heavy (Yogurt Parfait, Stuffed Pancake Bites, among other offerings), and the coffee was great. And although we weren't able to go on this trip, it is within walking distance of several attractions in Pittsburgh, and the off-street parking was a definite plus! We hope to get a chance to be back in the future for a longer stay.

We loved it. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the location quiet. Interesting nooks and crannies, cheery decor. The proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfasts were interesting, healthy, and delicious. Definitely recommend it.

Ed is an attentive, kind, and forthright host. Enjoyed the Parador aesthetics, cleanliness, and garden. Wish I had one of Ed's breakfasts right now. Quiet. Calm environment, cool neighborhood. Easy, safe parking. Will revisit if I go to Pittsburgh

We absolutely loved the Parador! The building is gorgeous, and you can really see all the love and time that has been put into it. Rooms were lovely, spacious, and clean, and I was impressed by the clever use of some of the smaller spaces in my room (Bird of Paradise). Sometimes Victorian spaces and decor can feel heavy or dark--but not at the Parador! The Caribbean flavor balances the heaviness of the lovely antique furniture for an end result that feels beautiful and vintage, but still bright and welcoming. Ed was also great! My traveling companion is immunocompromised and needed some extra safety measures for her health (masking at check in, etc) and Ed was great with our needs. He also had great information and suggestions about the local areas and things to see! We had a wonderful week and hope to stay again in the future!
