Tesoro Hotel Zakynthos

The food was cold as was the hot water. They overcharge for the holiday tax The pools were dirty . The communal areas were also dirty. There is no entertainment When asked about the lack of hot water my wife was told it was cold because of the bad weather . I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone if I'm honest. Make sure you read the reviews before you book on the TUI website if your travelling with them. There are no REPS here either

Tesoro Hotel - Extremely Poor Booked a late holiday all inclusive at Tesoro Hotel, Tsivili, Zante. From the initial overview things seemed fine as it was clean and the weather was good. Then the cracks started showing. There was supposed to be an evening entertainment programme at the adjoining hotel which covered the "all inclusive". It simply did not happen. The food. Where do we go with this one? On arrival I advised the receptionist and TUI rep of certain allergies. I was informed that the kitchen staff would be made aware to try and ensure thar there was something to have. One evening my options were left at chips and cold spaghetti as everything else contained the two allergens I was up front about. The food throughout the daily meals was clearly reheated on a regular basis, and the selection was abject at best. Definitely the worst buffet options I have ever encountered for an all exclusive holiday. Booked a double room but the bed was made up of two singles pushed together. Now I can get this, but the bedding itself was also for single beds which isn't great for a couple. Also seen one of the most vile things. The first time the shower was used the towels were taken from under the sink where the hotel placed them. I heard my wife shout in anger and disgust. The so called clean white towel had soiling on it. Now whether some prankster that was in the room before us had left this and the hotel had not refreshed the towels prior to our arrival or something else I will never know. Disgusting. I know it's the end of the season and the staffs attitude reflected this. Little to no engagement, constantly on their phones where customers were there to be served. Even noticed one nibbling on chips from the buffet at dinner time in front of guests. There is nothing that can be done for pubs and restaurants closing down and not being available at this time of year, but when you have paid your hard earned money to TUI for a well deserved holiday the very least you would expect would be the hotel you are in to be functioning properly. Value for money has absolutely not been the case for this holiday.

First of all the good things. Hotel really clean,room lovely size. Really Modern. Room cleaned regularly. Great location,very close to tsilivi centre. Bad things Hot water in shower very infrequent. No cover outside to drink outside in adverse weather. Given crappy disposable plastic cups outside to drink. Come on its 2024! Young woman at the bar more interested in her phone and gone for long periods at a time. Drinks I found Ok,normal AI. Entertainment was ok over the road at the Altura just the usual in house bingo and quiz. The young lad behind the bar was a good laugh! We went out every night as entertainment was brilliant in the centre. Now the food! Breakfast was the best meal of the day. Every you could want. Except the fruit. It was shocking, tinned fruit no melon at all. Dinner we didn't really eat much but very little choice but the pizza was nice about 4pm for a snack. Tea was much the samey AI. Lots of pork, Kebabs,Chicken but cheap on bone. Beef once. Got sick of same stuff so went out for food a couple of Nights. The food was always just warm. Not warm enough so people were using the microwave to warm it more!

Consider there was a lot of red flags from previous comments this was much better than expected. The staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds and pillows supper comfortable. The food was varied and a good selection. There is no entertainment which is a shame but just a short walk away and you are amongst restaurants and bars. There is a sister Hotel Altura opposites which has entertainment. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is more Greek themed entertainment. The resort cater for the British, which to me reminded me of Butlins and so not my cup of tea. Some of the bars were the same. I prefer something more authentic but that's just a personal preference. Wouldn't go in October again as the humidity with the hot and cold air brought in lots of flies and mosquitos. All in all though had a good holiday. The capital is beautiful and St Nicholas Bay.

On first impression we were very pleased with the hotel, then it went down hill from there. I'll start with the first room, no hot water for days except an odd occasion we had tepid water my wife went to complain and reception said "well nobody else had complained" not very good customer service. for days I went down to complain and after a week we were moved to room 2 it was exactly the same after more complaining they wanted to move us again this was 4 days before we were leaving we declined and surprise surprise maintenance fixed to hot water, reception kept giving lame excuses. Next the food, breakfast was the best meal of the day we tried lunch and dinner and the food was dreadful, I do not expect star rated food but I do expect edible food. We chose to eat out for 11 of our 14 days there. People had complained about the food but nothing changed. All the meat was dry and everything was loaded with garlic, I expect garlic to be in food but not as the main taste. Our last breakfast the mushrooms had so much garlic they were inedible. Now the drinks, unless you sat in the restaurant taking up space here was the only area you could have a glass, all other times you drank out of plastic cups, that is when you can get served as most times I had to wait for the staff member to A get off her phone or B return from where ever she went. So we went out every evening. This hotel was recommended to us and we were so disappointed.

First the positive, clean room , beautiful actually , working air con , comfy beds , 2 pillows , great location For town ! Some great staff Negatives Hotel could be on top of its game if it got rid of all inc ! When we arrived our toilet did not work , was temp fix , no spoons for coffee , food was at first awful , covered in flies , feedback via Tony the Tui rep , sister hotel Next door had a lively vibe so visited there sometimes, selection of food in the Tesoro is not great but did improve , kettle leaked all over our dressing table , fedback got a different kettle , iron can only be used for 1 hour , worst of all two young men decided to smash the patio window in of the girls next door , pretty scary ! Glass all over balcony , worst of all was being charged £49 tourist tax on arrival. We were on a budget ! As we decided we could not drink the low quality alcohol or food we eat out most of the time costing us a lot more My advice Tesoro is get rid of all inclusive, carry on upping your game and people will return ! I don’t think they have the skillset for return business! There was also a particularly unpleasant female bar attendant who made you feel guilty for asking for a drink of low quality alcohol! She also wore inappropriate clothing If I was to return and I’m not saying I won’t as my room was beautiful, I would only do it at bed breakfast evening meal higher quality and the availability of branded drinks to purchase If you enjoy plastic glasses this is the place for you However they are working hard to improve Thank you for the fruit and wine A great positive is we met lovely Greek people , I think we will get an apartment next year , we do however thank you for all the stuff you did for us at the hotel when we were upset , I would say this place is more 18/30 with not great standards rather than 59/62
