We had an awesome white water rafting trip on the New River in WV with Ace Adventures. Our team did a great tour. Our raft guide, Jordan, was amazing. Very aware of whole group, super careful, made sure everyone had safe trip. Very careful with old and young while making sure everyone had fun and experienced the rapids. I have been on rafting trips before and this group was exceptional. I would go back in a minute.

Whitewater rafting with ACE Adventure Resort was SO much fun! Staff are very knowledgeable, kind, and great at giving instruction to beginners. Shoutout to our guide Jordan! She was awesome and we had a great time being a part of her rafting crew for the day. Don’t forget to tip your guide at the end of your trip! (they have PayPal, Venmo, and also take cash). Prepare to not take anything with you on the raft (not even your phone) but if you would like you can bring sunscreen and they’ll put it in the bag that’s tied down in the raft. They take photos/videos of you during your trip which you can preview through email and purchase for the better quality versions without the watermark. Price wise, it’s the best deal to buy all of the photos (and the video) rather than picking and choosing. We’re planning to come back for Gauley season and we’ll definitely be requesting Jordan to be our guide again ✌️ Thanks for an awesome time! Rooms: Definitely recommend getting a cabin with a hot tub. Bring shampoo (not provided). Nearby activities: New River ATV is RAD! (shoutout to our guide Esther) I highly recommend you add them on as one of your “adventures”. Food & drinks: Lost Paddle Bar & Grill is the restaurant on site. It’s delicious and well priced! We ate dinner each night there during our stay. Marathon gas station is nearby. The Welcome Center and the Gear Store have snacks and general supplies

I took two adventurous teens to the New River Gorge for a few days of adventure. They had Ryan as their guide for the full day New River Gorge climbing and rappelling experience. Ryan crammed every possible bit of adventure into the day and the boys managed 9 climbs and a cave climb and a rappelling experience. He hosted a picnic lunch for us at the New River Gorge visitors center. Ryan encouraged the boys every minute and certainly made them feel accomplished. Also he made it a gorgeous day for a not-so-adventurous mom who wanted to watch and enjoy nature but NOT climb.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin- enough room for my husband and myself. Hot tub was great. We also ziplined. This was our first time, the guides were amazing-funny and nice. We ate at The Lost Paddle- pizza night was delicious and you had plenty of food. They also had trivia that night which was fun and something different. We hiked and explored the area. It is a must for everyone to do at least once. They had so much more to do and in the summer month this would be so good for a family. One of our best trips.

Our group did the New River White Water rafting, half day adventure. It was amazing!!!!! The river was up 12 feet and fast--1 hour vs 2 to 2/1 hours normally. They said it was wild & this did not disappoint. The gear & instructions were great!! Our guide Phil made this very safe with clear commands and navigating through the rapids. Thanks for the beer at the end! Excellent job Ace Adventure resort staff!!!!!
