Jardines del Sol

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

A wonderful stay at JDS! We are a family of 5 with a 13, 10 and 7 year old. The accommodation is spacious, clean with everything you need. Bailey’s bar, was just great, the food was amazing with lots of choice and reasonably priced and the happy hour at 5-7pm is the perfect touch to the end of the day around the lovely pool area. There are always enough sun loungers and while people do place the towels, it’s not for a long while before they arrive. The Playa Flamingo beach is around 10-15 minutes walk and is great for snorkelling and spending the whole day. Supermarkets run alongside, with restaurants and cafes should you need them. Further along is Playa Dorada beach which is much more busy, but where you can enjoy the water sports etc. As a family of 5 the taxis proved difficult, but we used the local buses which were great if we didn’t want to walk. We would 100% recommend JDS and look forward to returning in the future!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here, in fact it exceeded our expectations. It was our first trip to Lanzarote so everything was new. Yes it is located in a quiet area but this resort wins out as it is a beautifully laid out, superbly clean, amazing staff and luxury villa feel. it is a gated resort (part of Hilton Group) so it's very safe and about 20 minutes walk, alternatively taxis are outside the gate to get to the restaurant area of Playa Blanca. We were able to park our rental car, within the grounds. Staff are wonderful, nothing is a problem, it is great to see sustainability is a top priority of the resort. The 2 bedroom villas are clean, large, extremely comfortable and have everything you need for a week, full kitchen and appliances, of relaxation. The couch in the living room, can be used as a double couch bed, which is very comfortable. Housekeeping come on days 4 and 6 to refresh everything. The main pools are cold (wetsuits for kids resolve this) , with a lifeguard on duty and there is no rush for luxury sun loungers/shade at any time of the day. The beach is about 15 minutes walk, alternatively public transport can bring you further up the coast. We were located 10 minutes walk from the Aqualava Park (small water park), the kids had a great day. There is a small shop to the left of the resort gate, up the top of the hill providing the basics, should you not wish to go to Aldi daily. In addition, guests can order from the bakery to be collected by 9.15am from the restaurant for the duration of their stay. The Baily Restaurant and staff are a great asset to the resort. Drinks and food, snacks or full meals are available and really good at any time of the day. There is entertainment up until 11pm most evenings, which is nice during dinner. Lovely games around the pool area including chess, pool, fuzzball and table tennis. We highly recommend this resort for a relaxing week in Playa Blanca.

Overall we enjoyed our week at the Jardines Del Sol. The accommodation was well appointed and the grounds well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the excessive noise coming from the onsite restaurant which had live entertainment every night. It was so intrusive that we had to leave our accommodation and walk 25 minutes to other restaurants in the evenings.

Our stay at Jardines del Sol, Lanzarote (February 9–18) was disappointing. While the resort itself is really well-maintained, several serious issues significantly impacted our experience. 1. Excessive Noise Our apartment was located near the restaurant, making it noisy in the evenings. After enduring four sleepless nights, we twice reported this issue to the reception and requested a room change. However, we were simply told that the resort was fully booked — without any attempt to offer an alternative solution or show consideration for our discomfort. 2. Housekeeping Issues Our apartment was scheduled for cleaning, but this was not properly done. We informed the reception twice, but no action was taken, and we never received a satisfactory response. In addition, we sent an email to the management, which remained completely unanswered. For a resort of this standard, such service is unacceptable. We expected at least a reasonable effort to resolve these issues or a form of compensation, but unfortunately, our concerns were completely ignored. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Jardines del Sol and hope that the management takes guest feedback more seriously in the future.
