This was our 6th time absolutely a wonderful holiday so much so we’re coming back 2nd February for my partner 70 birthday The staff are amazing has always All the negative reviews they must have been in a different hotel, you can’t fault this one has most guests come back time and time again If you do have a complaint please speak to jos’e angel vazquez the manager who is so so helpful and will put it right. Don’t wait till you get home to leave bad reviews ask whilst your there ( he even has time to chat to guests to be sociable) The food is great with lots of choices If it goes cold it’s because you stopped to chat Yes the pools are cold but once your in lovely The entertainment is fantastic even around the pool on lunch times with the team cracking jokes Lovely relaxing hotel and quite when it’s bedtime Rooms are spotless the maids are wonderful and very helpful The staff are amazing and some of the best we have ever met We recommend this hotel 100%

Lovely holiday for my 30th birthday at christmas . Also friendly for any food allergy Just to make you aware 90% of this hotel clientel is aged 65 and over. first day we did feel out of place as people in our 30s but we did end up enjoying the holiday. the fact it’s mostly elderly it could be due to christmas that elderly people come at this time however we don’t know. The staff were very friendly with the older clients and seemed to take care of them very well . The area Playa blanca is very quiet and not much about other than one ***** called Calle Lemmone where there are restraunts tourist shops and a few bars but if we wanted to do trips we would have to travel out a bit. where to start the room is stunning . Out of every other hotel we have been to i have never had a comfier bed abroad ! mattress gave us a great sleep. Hotel is a complete palace , plenty loungers at pool area and beds , massive pool area and the pool bar is stunning with a casual menu such as burgers pizzas ect We loved the themed nights at the buffet restaurant including oreintal, indian , italian ect . Couldn’t fault the food great choice of cooked meats on the bbq grill and several dishes. However not a lot of choice as other hotels but it was better quality of food . All the dishes had allergy signs such as Gf gluten free , veggie , nuts ect . I am gluten free and asked for sin gluten every morning and they brought bread and muffins which was a lovely touch when you are limited Evening entertainment was 1 hour each night , a range of things such as singers , dancers and acrobats. it could be longer as the entrainment finishes at 10:30pm everyone leaves. would be nice to have more entertainment by hotel staff on until midnight as other hotels iv been to the entertainment stops at midnight The staff couldn’t be more attentive , after the last sip of juice someone is over with another drink , you aren’t aloud to get your drinks at the bar as the staff always have to wait on you at your seat. Shoutout to one waiter Angel who was fantastic and so friendly .. towards the end of our holiday most of the waiters knew us and brought us our cocktails , mojitos that we have every night . Cocktails were 10/10 proper ingredients not the crap pre make cocktail juice u get at most hotels. Very worth the all inclusive money I they have u a special birthday treat if you go for your birthday which was a lovely touch! It was a lovely holiday but i think we would go to a different area and hotel next time for more atompshere and liveliness. if you are looking for a quiet area to just relax and not do much this is the place for you

Overall an OK ish hotel, some areas nice and some a little tired but I find the lack of water fountains a bit petty and annoying. Over the last 10 years I’ve stayed in Lanzarote hotels a few times each year across most of the resorts on the island and usual fully inclusive, occasionally half board. It’s a great winter get away from the UK weather. In the past you’d get free bottled water but for environmental and I suspect cost reasons most hotels have now gone to providing water stations where you just refill you’re own bottle, I’m perfectly happy with this and it is better for the environment. It’s seems H10 in general but definitely the Timanfaya Palace now has a policy of NOT PROVIDING EITHER BOTTLED WATER OR WATER STATIONS for guests to refill bottles. If you queue up at the bar ( which can be very busy) and ask them to refill a bottle and they will do this for free, hence they claim that free water refills are there for guests. According to one member of staff this is designed to encourage you to purchase drinks at the bar. When I raised this with staff it was taken with disinterest and therefore there is no way to encourage change except to share my experience. If I was the manager I’d prefer to address this in private not here in public but to do that you need to at least show some interest in addressing guest concerns. I accept this is a very minor point but it goes some way to reflecting the overall attitude of H10 and TUI who fill most of the rooms here. Getting drinking water shouldn’t be a hassle when you’ve booked a 4 star resort hotel, it just detracts from the overall feel of the place. There is a supermarket only 10 min walk away where I can buy as much drinking water as I want to carry back for only a few euros but I shouldn’t have to.

Here at the moment and enjoying a splendid birthday. Weather beautiful, hotel fab as always... Room well just the best ever!! What keeps us coming back some 20 times??? This hotel and all the staff Never disappoint.. Thank you all so much. You know you've got a winner Jose when guests come back time and time again( even if we do occasionally stray to Ibiza) lol.. Try not to compare it to The Timanfaya Linda... Impossible she says... Back again with a vengeance as we say xxxx

We stayed here for two weeks, from the 8th to the 22nd of July, we had stayed here before in 2022, we enjoyed it hence the return visit. A strange feature of the Hotel, is you enter from the street into a vast lobby that is home to Reception and the Lobby Bar, Tahiche Bar. Then everything else was on floors underneath that. Street level was like on the clifftop and the rest were built up from the ground. Our suite was on the ground floor, from memory think it was level 4, our veranda/balcony was on ground level with a view into some the garden area. It was  located a bit of a distance from the main area of the hotel. From the Looby floor we had to take a lift to the ground floor and walk along a long corridor, which was a bit jaded, and scuffed walls it was usually populated with housekeeping trolleys. For some reason other guests thought it was acceptable to leave empty glasses and dirty crockery along the corridor. Our accommodation was comfortable and clean, however there were some signs of tiredness and heavy usage. The main restaurant La Bocaina, reviewed separately, was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals served here were buffet style with chefs at cooking stations preparing and cooking food. It did feel like we were dining on board a ship with the large glass paned wall with views out to sea. We did have issues with the quality and lack of food choice, so for the second week of our holiday although we were all inclusive, we went out to eat in local restaurants. The Kasbah was the themed restaurant in the Hotel. The food style here was a fusion of International, Moroccan, Arabic and Mediterranean. Where we could book to have dinner once during each week of the holiday. We were regular visitors to Mike's Cafe (reviewed separately) the coffee shop, on thee  ground floor of the Hotel, next door the the Kasbah Restaurant La Geria was the pool bar, restaurant and snack bar, reviewed separately. It was was daily from10 till 18.00 with the restaurant and snack bar open from 12.30 to 15.30 and cold snacks 15.30 to 18.00. Once or twice we did sit at the bar, for a few drinks  at Disco Bar Montana Roqa. It was open each evening from  20.00 to 24.00, this was the entertainment hub of the Hotel, with live music or other shows. The Tahiche Bar, lobby bar was open from 16.00 till 01.00, however the all inclusive element stopped at midnight, from that point drinks were payable. There was usual some firm of live music here in the evening, reviewed separately.

This was our 5th visit in 10 years to the Timanfaya Palace, we booked 11 nights half board with TUI, we did actually look into booking independently with the hotel but on this occasion TUI was better value. This is honestly the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff are an absolute credit, very friendly and hard working, and there are so many returning guests who meet up year after year. We always book half board as we do not like to be tied to the hotel, although a very large percentage to be on an all-inclusive basis and speak very well this. A couple of times, we exchanged dinner for lunch at the hotel (once for an evening trip and the other time to try a local restaurant). We also tried the Kasbah Restaurant in the hotel, which, if you are staying on an HB basis, you receive a 40% discount on the meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience the meals were beautifully presented and delicious with excellent service. We enjoyed it so much we booked again for our last evening. We booked a standard room but emailed ahead to request a high floor and a room as far along the corridor as possible, looking towards the lighthouse, we were given room 342, which, although a standard room does have a side sea view, we were very happy with this room, if you have mobility issues it is a long walk along this corridor, but for us its absolutely fine. When we arrived, there was a bottle of cava and a box of chocolates, along with robes and slippers, also a very nice touch was a little box with 2 Lindt chocolates, delivered by a lovely lady each evening before we went to dinner. I'm not sure if this was because we were returning guests or if we belong to the H10 loyalty programme. The main buffet restaurant was very nice with so many choices but we found it best to go at 7pm as if you leave it another half hour it is so busy and you are limited to choice of tables. The back bacon, omelettes, and pancakes at breakfast, cooked by 2 lovely ladies, are delicious. If you like to join in with the boules, cornhole etc in the mornings, this is such a laugh with lots of banter, and the animation team are very friendly. All in all, another lovely holiday at a good solid 4* hotel. Would we vist again? Yes!!

Fantastic setting. The hotel is only yards from the sea, the whole hotel from rooms to pool area is immaculately clean. The staff are the stars of the show, they are faultless. If there was anything to pick up on it would be the food could be warmer, although the choices are immense, and there is little immediately outside the hotel.

We first booked a holiday to the Timanfaya Palace in 2019, for 2020, on the recommendation of friends we made in Italy. Due to events in the world we finally made it and have just returned from the most wonderful week staying as Privilege AI guests. Swift check-in with a refreshing glass of cava, all be it not at the Privilege Desk which is not readily obvious when you join a queue of other guests checking-in. The AI kicks in immediately and we were guided to the lunch time restaurants as, not unexpectedly, our room (323) was not available. We took the chance to familiarise ourselves with the hotel, log on to the good wi-fi, book with the help of the Reception Team our evening meals in the Kasbah restaurant, and to have lunch in La Bocaina. Our sea view room with balcony was spacious, well furnished and equipped, and had a huge bathroom with a super walk-in shower. Through-out our stay the room was excellently serviced by the house-keeping team. We found the Privilege AI package provided everything we wanted during our stay with the 'extras', the lounge, the sunbathing area, and the dining arrangements for breakfast and dinner being enjoyed to the full. The food and beverage selection was one of the best we have experienced, and particular thanks goes to the whole F&B team on the quality and choices available. The dining experience is a major factor for us in our holiday considerations and we chose La Bocaina for lunch, we did try La Geria but preferred La Bocaina, and Kasbah for breakfast and dinner. Special mention here goes to the front of house team at Kasbah, Paula, Manuel, and Daniel along with the other staff all deliver a high level of service be it at breakfast or dinner. Muchas Gracias to you all for what you did for us during our stay. After trying and waiting so long to visit Timanfaya Palace and to have enjoyed our stay so much, you will not be surprised to hear that we have already booked for next year when we will be staying for a few extra nights to enjoy the Timanfaya Palace experience.
