Portofino Mallorca

I recently stayed at a hotel and would like to share my review based on different aspects. The location of the hotel was quite good, earning a score of 4. It was conveniently close to a beautiful beach. However, the hotel was a bit far from the city center, which may be a drawback for some guests. In terms of service, the hotel staff was excellent, receiving a score of 5. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a satisfying stay. Cleanliness was another positive aspect of the hotel, deserving a score of 5. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained and tidy. However, there were a few drawbacks in terms of amenities. The rooms were quite small, and the soundproofing was not great, resulting in noise from the adjacent rooms and hallway. Additionally, the balcony was located too close to the neighboring room, which compromised privacy. Overall, the hotel had a good location near the beach (4/5) and provided excellent service (5/5). The cleanliness was also top-notch (5/5). However, the small room size, poor soundproofing, and proximity of the balcony to the next door were areas for improvement (4/5).

The room is not what you may expect for a 4* hotel. It is not what you book and not at all like the nice pictures. There is not even a small desk in the room, a chair to sit, or a small table to place your luggage. There is no privacy at all in ground-floor rooms.

We had a lovely time at the Hotel Portofino, we stayed 5 nights. The staff were polite, helpful and kind including the cleaners, receptionists and the poolside bar staff. The rooms and hotel was kept clean at all times. There are great restaurants nearby and a supermarket and chemist on the corner. The beach is very close by with a beautiful beach. Will definitely be returning.

My boyfriend and I stayed here, and it was a lovely hotel. The location is excellent, right next to a beautiful beach and some decent restaurants nearby. It’s also very close to bus routes, making it easy to get to Palma and C'an Pastilla using bus 35. The breakfast was nice, with a good selection of bread and options like eggs, beans, bacon, and tapas. I appreciated that the pool area wasn't too crowded, and we were always able to find a spot at any time of day. The room itself was nice, though small, as expected from other reviews. We stayed in room 314, a pleasant end room with a mini fridge, safe, and balcony. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Housekeeping changed the bins, towels, and made the beds every day. Our only issues were that the safe stopped working twice, and for the first three nights, we had trouble with the key cards not working consistently. Despite this, the staff were very helpful and resolved the problems promptly. Although the rooftop bar was closed throughout our stay, there is a bar inside that serves the same food and drinks. Overall, a great hotel.

Although Portofino is a little old fashioned I couldn't fault the service and cleanliness. We had everything we needed in the room, including a mini fridge, air conditioning, and a hairdryer. The beds were comfy and the shower was powerful. We just stayed one night but the pool area looked good, and we enjoyed our breakfast.

I’ve stayed at the portofino many times it’s a cute little place .. easy to get to and great for a short break . I love the location not too touristy but enough to do and a stroll along the front / beach you can reach the city of palma a good 45 minute walk .. a little disappointed though as the hotel seams to have lost a few of its unique touches which earned it .. it’s 4 * no bathrobes no bottled water ..no shelving / cabinets in the bathrooms .. prices have gone up but they seam to have cut back on services which is a real shame.😳 that said the hotel is spotlessly clean our room was cleaned daily and beds made up .. rooms are small as a few reviews mention but comfy .. we stayed off season but it was quite busy and there was a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms .. weather was decent which was nice as plenty of free sun beds around the pool which we made good use of .. didn’t try the breakfast however did have a little look didn’t look amazing for 14 euros each !
