Me and my partner were initially happy with our experience. We encountered three lovely staff members at reception, and after we had a problem on our first day with our room, we were immediately given a new, larger one. Our biggest disappointment was the staff in the breakfast room and the breakfast itself. It was so bad that we decided on our last days not to go there, so it doesn't ruin our moods. I almost wanted to ask for my money back. The warm foods like bacon, beans and eggs were always served cold, there was no heating whatsoever like with other hotels where the food is being heated. We had a very disappointing experience with the breakfast staff. Despite the room being nearly empty, a staff member insisted we sit where she wanted, rather than allowing us to choose our own spot. While we were still finishing our meal, she interrupted us and asked us to leave. I politely apologized in Spanish, but she just dismissed us with a curt "sí, sí, sí" and walked away. We noticed she behaved the same way with other guests too. Throughout breakfast, staff members were constantly walking around, being loud and clearing tables before guests were done eating. My boyfriend had just finished his coffee when a younger staff member took the mug directly out of his hand. Overall, the breakfast staff were unprofessional and rude. In all the hotels we’ve stayed at, guests are usually allowed to finish their meal in peace before tables are cleared. This was not the case here. PS.: Breakfast from 8-10AM is not enough time get up in the morning and get ready properly and then eat as well. We were often short in time and had only one hour left to eat & grab food. 7-11AM would be a more appropriate time-frame for travelers. Additionally, the toilet was crooked and the sink in the bathroom almost came off. The shower was leaking. All of this should be fixed as well.
