Fantastic Hotel in the perfect location. Near the main drag (5th), far enough from the riff raft, 3 blocks from the beach, clean, cute, and great service. Reasonably priced and included tasty breakfast. I would recommend for the price. Stairs, no elevator and at times slow internet.

The hotel was perfect from the start, with friendly staff and easy check in process. The rooms are beautiful in a casa style and not generic. We thought the food was excellent! All round we highly recommend la semilla and will come back again I’m sure.

This hotel really is an oasis of calm. The decor is gorgeous, the staff were so nice and the breakfast was the most unique and delicious I’ve ever had at any hotel! I can’t recommend this place enough the perfect place to stay if you want a relaxed vibe. Thank you

my partner and i stayed at hotel la semilla for 5 nights in late march/early april. we absolutely loved it. the hotel is intimate and charming, full of little details. its located on beautiful tree lined street a few blocks from the ocean. we stayed in suite with a large balcony which we sat on daily. it technically overlooked the neighboring restaurant but it still felt very private. my favorite part of our stay was the breakfast. we had a different meal prepared every day along side fresh fruit, juice and coffee. the chef even kindly accommodated my husbands vegan diet which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. we hope to come back and stay again soon.

What a gem! Hotel La Semilla feels like a little piece of eden that happens to be right in the centre of Playa del Carmen. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast delicious, and the room spacious and comfortable. Don't miss the opportunity to sit in the garden at the back of the hotel and enjoy a beer to relax. Thank you!

5 out of 5. This place is suuuper cute and the staff is amazing. The rooms are great (beds a tad hard but my wife and I like that) and the grounds are stunning. Perfect to descensar in the otherwise wild world of PDC. It’s like a beautiful oasis amidst a sea of party. To be clear, if you’re looking for a pool and a large on-site bar, definitely not your place. But the beach is a two minute walk and there are bars a plenty between the hotel and the beach. The included breakfast is actually a breakfast, with an onsite cook offering a two course meal, including amazing huevos rancheros. And even though they don’t traditionally do breakfast to-go, when my wife was sick they whipped up a fruit plate I could take back to the room. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a classic, boutique experience.

We had an excellent experience at the hotel. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They provide a great breakfast that’s included with your stay. The hotel itself was so unique and was very cultural. The rooms were clean and spacious. It’s also a great location being on 38th.

The hotel is beautiful and the location was great. Away from noise but close to all the restaurants, bars and beach. The room was comfortable and AC worked great for our entire stay. WiFi was was really good as well. The included breakfast and coffee was delicious and varied every morning. We will definitely be back to Hotel La Semilla. Also, for a romantic night a must try that is a 10 min taxi in Playa Del Carmen was Alux.
