After seeing this on google street view after booking I was slightly dubious as to what to expect. It’s surrounded by swinger clubs and such, however don’t be put off by this. Once you’re through the entrance it’s like a hidden little paradise. It’s basic and tired, but it’s also a really affordable place, so I think for less than £400pp in July I was very pleased. We arrived later at night and the restaurant outside was still serving until late so we had something to eat there and it was nice enough and really good prices. The pool area is really lovely, perfect temperature (once you’re in!) and has a large shallow area on one side and a very deep area the other. Getting beds was never really a problem and the lifeguard is very attentive. It’s not too far from the beach, the map said 20 minutes but it felt like a lot less than that. Maybe 10-15 tops. There’s a supermarket immediately outside but if you walk 5-10 mins you’ll find a Lidl which is much cheaper. There’s also a bus stop behind the hotel you can take to loads of other places - we went to Amadores for the day on the number 9 line but you can also get the number 1 line. We had two ‘bungalows’ and had requested adjoining and quiet which was honoured, we had an adjoining patio between the two which was nice. The room has two single beds which were very comfy in my opinion. Side notes which aren’t really negative more worth thinking about: -the bedroom is upstairs and despite the resort being very accessible ramps wise, they’re everywhere around the complex, they’re not up to the bungalows themselves. I think if I was with a small child/toddler I’d be panicking as the stairs up to the room are tiled and curve around and it’s quite a tight turn. Again, not a negative for the hotel but if you struggle with mobility or have an unsteady on their feet child I think it would be a bit of an issue. -the rooms don’t have fans or air con. Fans are €15 per week and air con is €11 per night. -we stayed in rooms 11+12 on the “quiet side” which makes sense as the other backs onto the Irish bar which has karaoke and is next to the RIU next door so you get a lot of noise from them, but with that being said, it’s more holiday ambience noise it’s not horrendous. It stops around 11pm anyway. They allow your own drinks around the pool which in really liked, provided they’re in plastic cups or cans. There’s also a reasonably priced pool bar and the food is decent from there too. All in all it does the job, the TV has English channels, the kitchen has what you need, the terraces are really nice. I’d stay here again.
