Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca

We've just returned from a fabulous week. The food was great, lots of lovely fresh foods and plenty of choice. The site was immaculate and the rooms had everything we needed for the week. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were incredible, fun, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The downside was the site has lots of steep hills and steps and I'd say the entertainment and facilities were geared more towards families with children under 10. Saying that, our teens still loved it.

We had the most fantastic time here. Family of 4, stayed for 10 days in April. Exceptional value. Food is plentiful and very good - large salad bar, lots of grilled meat and fish. Brilliant for the kids - pirate island, kids club, mini disco, arcade room. We had a family room in the main complex and were very happy with the room and facilities. Used all the pools, water was cold in April but bearable! Weather a bit mixed at this time of year but we had hired a car so could go and explore the island.

This was a lovely, clean hotel. We were upgraded on arrival, and our rooms were close to each other. The rooms are spacious, and our balcony was huge. The bathrooms, again, are spacious and clean. The all-inclusive meals had something for everyone and were of good quality; the drinks were generous!!! There was evening entertainment and lots going on during the day, The staff are all friendly and helpful. There are two family pools and an adults-only pool if needed. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, there is a bus stop outside the hotel and a train that runs two days a week. We hired a car from the hotel and drove around the island. All in all, this hotel gave great value for money.

This is our second time at Invisa Figueral Cala Blanca, we absolutely loved it. The hotel is so nice, the staff are great with kids and are so friendly. One person in particular who really was amazing, so kind and just a lovely person was Monica, a Chef in the restaurant. Our little boy loved her, she always had a kind smile and was happy to help, she interacted really well with everyone. The food was nice, lots of options and luckily for me, catered for people with allergens. The room was nice and clean. We had fresh towels when needed, the beds were made every day and they were quite comfy. The pool areas have a lot of space and are well maintained. The beach is down some steps from the hotel, it has some lovely views.

Like most we booked this hotel thinking it was a 4 star and got put in the 3 star part of the hotel. To be honest tho I would rate it as a very good 3 star. Pools Yes they are a bit cold (even the indoor one) but you get used to it. Signs saying no inflatables but not enforced. Lots of pools to choose from and pirate island is amazing for the kids. Even an adults only pool. Food Varied with different themes each night. Italian, Asian, meat lovers, seafood etc. always lots to choose from and always a great selection of salads and deserts. Breakfast also had everything from full English to cereals and fresh fruit and yogurt. Plates were cleared away fast and all staff were very friendly, especially the greeter. Drinks were self serve on coffee soft drinks and alcohol free beer in the restaurant or you could go to the bar for real beer and wine. At the other bars you had plastic cups for round the pool (standard) or glass for seated areas. Having 2 small kids we Diddnt drink much but what we did try was nice. Room We booked an inspire cala Blanca suite with balcony. It was modern looking with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a lounge. Big TVs in bedrooms and lounge, mini fridge with water Fanta and coke but wasn’t re stocked. Dolce gusto machine but again pods not re stocked. No iron but had hair dryers. Cleaning wasn’t great, hand prints on the mirrors and glass when we arrived and a hair bobble on the shower door handle that stayed there all week too. We requested a crib for our baby but had to request another when we got there as it was filthy and had holes in it. Entertainment Lots on and varied each day. Bingo, water polo, shooting, archery, sangria and paella making classes etc. very good. The shows at night were exceptional too. We watched Aladdin and lion king and it was just like being at the theatre I honestly can’t rave about these enough! Great for adults and kids. Brilliant outfits, well rehearsed and choreographed truly amazing! Special requests This was a feature when we booked and we put down that it was my birthday and the wife’s 40th while we were there. When we checked in I mentioned about our birthdays too. All completely pointless tho, no upgrade, no bottle of fizz, not even a card or some towel art on the bed. Bad bits When we arrived (2adults 2babies 4 suitcases 3 hand luggage and a double buggy) we were shown to our room, a man helped us with 2 cases over the road but left when it got to the steps. I had to carry everything up 4 flights of narrow stairs to the room while my wife waited with the kids. Multiple trips and to make things worse a bunch of reps and staff were stood at the bottom just watching me struggle and never offered to help. Cleanliness isn’t the best in rooms as I mentioned before. It is a bit hilly but I have a bad knee and managed fine after I recovered from getting all our stuff to the room. What a fabulous week we have had in Cala Blanca. I was very nervous about this holiday due to some poor reviews but I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely our stay has been. The food is fantastic. Yes there is only one restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but there is so many choices that you cannot possibly get bored. There is always the staples such as salad, pizza, chips, pasta and paella but there is a variation of vegetables, meats, fish and potatoes. The desserts were fabulous too and bread is so fresh and soft. Fruit juices were more like a cordial than fresh fruit juice but did the job. The drinks were great. Enjoyed some of the cocktails and the spirits were very good for non-branded spirits. I couldn't tell the difference. The coffee isn't great at breakfast but they do lovely lattes at the bar next door so we went there for our coffees and were never disappointed. The staff were amazing, from the reception to the housekeeping, the bar staff and especially the animation team. Always got a friendly hello from housekeeping, reception were always willing to help, bar staff got to know what drinks you wanted and how you liked them, especially Bilal, and the entertainment team were so good at getting everybody involved, but accepted when you didn't want to join in an activity. The evening entertainment was fantastic, probably the best out of all the holidays we have been on. The shows were all great, but the ones led by the animation team were the best! The comedy show had me crying with laughter, stars in their eyes was so entertaining and the flower power disco was so much fun! The beach is fantastic, really sandy and sea is warm to swim in. We had a mix of calm days where it was perfect to snorkel and some rougher days where it was fun to go in on our inflatables and bob on the waves. I did get stung by a jellyfish but the lifeguards on the beach were great and treated it for me and was fine the following day. The hotel itself is clean. We were placed in a refurbished room so it was very modern and comfortable so can't comment on the other rooms. We played lots of tennis whilst we were here, just need to book it at reception and the equipment is all provided. This was a fun activity that the whole family enjoyed of all ages. We tried padel too which you leave a deposit for but get back when you return the equipment. The pools were cold but we were extremely lucky with the weather for October so they were refreshing to dip in when it was a hot afternoon. It says no inflatables but we took ours in everyday and the lifeguard didn't say anything. You can use the facilities in both hotels, we wandered up to Cala Verde a couple of times because we preferred the look of the show that was there one evening. We didn't eat there but would be nice if you wanted a change of scenery one night. All in all, a fabulous stay, enjoyed by our whole family (2 adults, 15, 14, 13 and 6 year old), plenty to do and lots of fantastic memo
