Sueño del Mar Beachfront Hotel

We absolutely loved this place and was perfect for us: - it is in a very quiet area with respect to Tamarindo - Tamarindo can be reached with a 25 mins walk (or other means of transportation). We loved being close but not in Tamarindo due to the amount of people there. - when we want to eat closer, there were plenty of options nearby - the property is beautiful - the property is on the beach and has direct access to it (many properties don't) - the property is small (we cannot stand big resorts and there are many there - your choice) - the people were super kind - the food was phenomenal - the place was spotless clean If you recognize yourself in these characteristics, then look no further. This is the perfect place to stay at.

Super friendly staff and world class chief doing outstanding breakfast, amazing atmosphere and private beach with no other people - this is a place to relax and time for being together. This is the place, to calm down and it is close to the city touristic business. Nice small restaurants are located nearby.

Truly amazing place! Everyone is welcoming and goes above and beyond! The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The grounds/beach is stunning. The rooms are good. We have one of the bigger suites and I would spring for that. Relax and enjoy the beach and pool! And the town is fun and lively. Lots of good drinks and food!

We had our 50-person wedding in January 2023 at Sueno del Mar and it was absolutely the perfect venue for us. We stayed in the Luna honeymoon suite which is spacious, bright, and you can hear the ocean waves crashing at night. Our family stayed in the other rooms on the property and each person loved their room. The outdoor showers are so fun and still very private feeling. The entire staff, especially Sol and Eduardo, were amazing to work with from start to finish. They really made us feel like part of the family. The food was out of this world—they also catered our wedding and the all the guests were going back for seconds! Breakfasts each morning were hearty and delicious complete with fresh juices and dessert. It really is a such a special place nestled in paradise on Playa Langosta. We also loved meeting the resident cat, Lolo! When at Sueno del Mar it feels like you're on your own private beach but then you can easily walk or take a quick cab to all the shops/restaurants/bars in Tamarindo. If you're wanting a unique and breathtaking beachfront wedding venue with the nicest and most accommodating staff ever—look no further! We 100% recommend staying at Sueno del Mar while in Costa Rica. We stayed at other nearby hotels during our honeymoon after the wedding and kept remarking how Sueno del Mar was still our absolute favorite place. We can't wait to go back one day soon.

We spent 3 nights in the queen room. Room was really small with a small bed..it was the only disadvantage for us but only this one was avaible. And the AC in front of the bed in such a small room was a problem for us. Besides that everything was perfect. The place has its own charm of B&B. No crowds, nice Beach with beautiful sunsets, tasty breakfast. We had an outdoor shower. Location is not in the noisy center but You can walk 15 min to the bars and restaurant. I can recommend this place but our room 3mx3m was too small for us.

We loved this place. We missed our first night of 3 due to a missed connection in Atlanta, but made the most of the two were there. We only left for Dinner as the hotel offered all the amenities we needed. We spent the days lounging in the chairs, bed and private beach swimming in the pool and ocean. The hotel only has 7 or so rooms, so the privacy and quiet are unmatched. The owners have a fun energy to them which only adds to everything we loved.
