La Butte

The hotel is simple but clean, but the restaurant is a disaster! Simply awful. We made a reservation and were seated at a table football table (kicker) with a tabletop over it! We ordered expensive food with a bottle of wine and a very expensive steak for €160 and were asked to take it easy! We mentioned this twice when ordering and after the starter. It arrived quickly, and when I commented on it, I received an aggressive response from the waiter with his glasses on. What a disappointment! Drive a few kilometers further, pay less, and be the customer. And then they claim they have a Bib Gourmand, haha. The restaurant was decorated like a canteen. Gewoon zeer slecht. Hebben wij gereserveerd mogen we plaatsnemen aan een tafel voetbal/kicker tafel met een blad erop gelegd!. Duur eten besteld met fles wijn en zeer duur biefstuk á 160€ en gevraagd om rustig aan te doen! Dit twee keer gezegd bij bestellen en na het voorgerecht. komt het nog snel en als ik daar een opmerking over maak krijg ik een agressieve reactie van de ober met de bril op. Wat een deceptie, rij maar een paar kilometer verder, betaal minder en ben koning als klant. En dan beweren ze dat ze een bib gourmand hebben haha. Het restaurant was ingericht alsof het een kantine is. Tout simplement horrible. Nous avions réservé et nous étions installés à un baby-foot avec un plateau dessus ! Nous avons commandé un plat cher avec une bouteille de vin et un steak très cher à 160 €, et on nous a demandé de nous calmer ! Nous l'avons mentionné deux fois lors de la commande et après l'entrée. L'entrée est arrivée rapidement, et quand j'ai fait un commentaire, j'ai reçu une réponse agressive du serveur, lunettes aux pieds. Quelle déception ! Roulez quelques kilomètres de plus, payez moins et soyez le client. Et puis ils prétendent avoir un Bib Gourmand, haha. Le restaurant était décoré comme une cantine. During the checkout they said nothing about it, and i write a mail. I ask them did you see te mail? She say yes en looked ashamed but no farther reaction so be aware.

Trailblazing hotel, exceptional Amazing place, in touch with its surroundings with a real “foodie” culture

Very friendly people, wonderful restaurant and the best breakfast ever. Everything is to recommend. It is situated 30-40 minutes from the sea and there is quite a lot of trafic so not ideal for walking but we managed. Bring good shoes for the walking. A pity the website says that the spa will be finished in 2022 when there is no spa, but we didn't have time for it anyway.

What a delightful experience in such a relaxing environment! This hotel restaurant and spa was recommended by our friend Yann Germain, himself a one-star Michelin at Sessenheim. We are so glad we followed his advice. We had dinner at Nicolas and Solene’s gourmet restaurant. Every dish was a pleasure for our senses. Chef Nicolas comes to each table and explains his dishes. His passion, creativity and excellence transpire in every detail. Solene and their staff are so attentive and so efficient. The next morning we had breakfast at their Comptoir: what an experience! I toured the buffet so many times. I was in heaven with all these fermented foods. Thank you for your leadership in this cuisine! Finally, don’t miss to stroll to the chef’s gardens and discover all their herbs, flowers and great vegetables that you will be enjoying in your dishes.

Magic landscape, inspired cooking (two restaurants), spa with a view, friendly and competent staff…and Japanese toilets in the room ! A very special place where they make you feel at home. NB: you have NEVER seen a breakfast like here.
