This premier is tired. WiFi didn’t work, went to reception to ask if there was an issue and was told it was rebooted. Still didn’t work so had to hotspot. The slit that you put your key for the lights was hanging off and not working, had to put it back together for it to work. Carpet coming away from the fittings. Rust on the towel rail. 1/2 the lights not working on the vanity mirror. The only plus side was Kay on reception who was happy and chatty and helpful. If only more people who are customer facing were like you Kay.

I arrived after a 3 hour drive and was charged £15 for early check in even though my room was clearly ready and the check in process is no different to usual so that’s a con. The free wifi was hopeless so paid £5 for “ultimate WiFi” and there was no improvement. Reception advised me they are changing providers so it’s apparently variable and I was told to contact the provider for a refund. Disappointed by the sound proofing in the room - could hear next doors tv as well as they could I should think. Also people breaking wind as they passed by in the corridor. Apologies for the detail but it paints the picture. Have stayed in quieter premier inns in central London. Reception staff were friendly and the place didn’t smell of old cigarettes or mould so that’s a plus. No general seating area or workspace in the building - you have to go to the pub opposite where breakfast is served. Kind of motel style from that respect. Room was tired and whole place had the feel that it’s going to be flattened and redeveloped. Let’s hope so. The best bit about the stay was the wholly unconnected excellent independent Thai restaurant round the corner, recommended by the reception staff.

Excellent Pemeir inn team and facility’s can’t fault them but breakfast could do to improve sausage could have done with a bit longer under the grill to brown off as they looks very pale but other than that could be team could be more chatty with guests

Took a while to get booked in, limited food available at the evening meal and breakfast meals. Staff were trying their very best , being let down by stock holdings, and beer availability, just felt like suppliers not happy to trust any deliveries just yet.

Great location for a hotel, but let down by the check in. We booked 4 rooms and travelled down from Scotland for a bereavement, it took us 12 hours. We arrived at 11am and asked to pay for an early check in and were denied. Hotel looked about a quarter full, and could not offer not one room for our elderly member, just to rest and have use of the toilet. We had to come back at 3pm. Not good.

Firstly, I have to mention the welcome at this hotel. Kay, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful! There were six of us with three separate bookings, but she made sure our three rooms were close together and our breakfast bookings were at the same time. She was honestly one of the most friendly and helpful welcomes I have ever received! The actual hotel rooms themselves are a bit dingy. The beds aren’t as comfortable as other Premier Inns we’ve stayed at. I’d like to echo what other reviews have said - this hotel needs a major refurb! It’s clean enough, but it felt damp and miserable. We stayed for three nights and honestly, I was starting to struggle by the third night. The on-site restaurant is also a mixed bag. The breakfasts were a bit to be desired and not great, but the evening meals were much better. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, the toilets were an absolute disgrace! I went to the ladies to find every single one covered in faeces! I ended up having to walk back across to our hotel room to use the toilet there. Our stay was okay, but I must admit, I won’t be rushing back.

Typical Premier Inn. Super location in Plymouth. Close to harbour, good foodie venues and shops. The stay was made special by staff member Walid, who took care of us very well in the restaurant. Reception staff were also efficient and friendly.

Lovely lunch. Excellent service from Walid. Will visit again in the future. Thanks for a memorable visit. Meals were delivered on time and portions were generous. The value was also good. Parking was easy as the car park was not full when we visited
