Antico Casale del Poggio

I had enthusiastically planned my stay at Antico Casale del Poggio, attracted by the charm of Sardinia and the promises of a unique experience. Unfortunately, due to a personal error, I had to cancel my reservation. It's understandable that cancellation policies are in place to protect both travelers and hosts. However, I found the owner's rigid adherence to these policies, without any consideration for the circumstances, particularly disappointing. I didn't necessarily expect a full refund, but I offered reasonable options such as reimbursement of cleaning costs, which would not have been incurred given my non-attendance, or a voucher for a future stay. Unfortunately, these requests were rejected without welcoming or empathetic communication. I have never had the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Casale or enjoy the Sardinian hospitality. My only interaction was with an owner who, in my opinion, showed little interest in the well-being of his guests and no flexibility in the face of unforeseen circumstances. In conclusion, unfortunately I cannot recommend Antico Casale del Poggio based on my experience. I advise anyone considering a stay here to be absolutely sure of their dates before booking, as any attempt at negotiation or understanding seems to be met with unyielding rigor. Rating: ⭐
