Wonderful stay. Our room was extremely comfortable , quiet and spacious. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food and service were excellent. Nothing to complain about and plenty to praise. This is a little gem and we will back for a longer stay next time we visit

We enjoyed 3 wonderful nights at the Ratanui lodge. Excellent room and bed. Wonderful dinners and breakfasts. The staff were very helpful getting day trips set up for us in the Abel Tasman area. We enjoyed a day visiting the Farewell Spit and another day taking the sea shuttle into the Abel Tasman park for a day hike.

Very nice hotel situated across the road from lovely Pohara beach. The grounds are pretty with planted borders. The room was very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was very good. Excellent breakfast too. We had to leave early on our last morning and we missed breakfast but Geraldine made sure we had a packed meal to take with us which was much appreciated.

A upmarket lodge that was recently refurbished. Our room number 10 was large and tastefully furnished with a large modern bathroom and good amenities. The breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant was high quality. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly.

What an amazing place! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is excellently cooked and inventive. Pure luxury after a days walking, thank you for a wonderful experience and will definitely give you a five star rating. The rooms are super with comfy beds and cool bedding.

If you find yourself in Pohata, you absolutely must make a stop in Ratanui. The ambience is warm and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after a long day. As a group of four, every dish we tried (entrees, mains and dessert-and we all got something different!) was perfectly cooked and outstanding. Special mention to Nick who made our visit even more memorable. Nick was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. His recommendations were spot on, and his genuine passion for the lodge was evident in every interaction. Not forgetting Julia, who made us feel welcome and always kept our wine glasses full ;) Wether you are a local or just passing through, definitely make a stop at Ratanui Lodge. A must visit.

It was quiet & peaceful & relaxing. Staff were friendly & helpful. Outdoor dining area was just lovely with a lovely garden. Expedia's pricing on line was confusing. We ended up paying more per night than what was advertised.

Nice but not the price Not what we expected for the price but it was nice. Their restaurant is very good and the people who work there are very nice.
