Pool, housekeeping & maintenance staff all top notch. Front desk not so much. I booked a King room and my confirmation (which I showed them) said balcony and view. They said that I was booked in a standard King & bkz I booked third party it wasn’t their problem & I would have to straighten it out with Trip.com….wrong answer…Our room was the size of a walk in closet..it reeked of mildew and the bathroom was so small my 6’ husband had to sit sideways on the T-seat….Entry Door didn’t seal closed so flies came in. I looked at the hotel’s own website and even what they advertise as a “standard king” isn’t anything like the room itself. So just be aware that the rooms you see pictures are not the rooms you get AT ALL. Disappointing they wouldn’t make it right.

Upon check-in there was an unidentified brown liquid all over the carpets. It ruined our socks when we walked through it. After I cleaned it up it was identified to be coffee. My son sat in it, ruining his shorts. The indoor pool filter wasn’t running when we tried to go in, so the water was still and there were bandaids and hair floating on the surface. Our bathroom door hit the toilet when you tried to open it, and there was no where to hang wet towels- not a hook in sight. We checked out a night early because it was so gross. (Our reservation was only for two nights to begin with.) it’s a shame because it’s a nice area.

This is my second stay at the White Sands. We love it because it’s quiet and close to the boardwalk. The beach is private which is very nice and easily accessible from the hotel. The pool is also very nice with plenty of space to enjoy. My only complaint is they take awhile to clean the rooms and while doing so, the walkway seems cluttered and messy.

Beds are very hard now. Issues on the private beach with people renting the beach houses in close proximity. Third year visiting, looking at other options for next year.

The property itself is nice and was very convenient for our family. 3 different pools, private beach and the boardwalk is a short walk away. There were 2 things we were not happy with. The mattresses were rock hard and the sink is outside of the bathroom. Besides that, we enjoyed pur stay.

Great location but hotel needs updating This hotel is all about location. Private beach and two pools were awesome to have and so convenient. We stayed in the building beachside near ice cream store. The entire hotel can use updating. The rooms and bathrooms are very dated especially bathroom at the pool. Our mattress was awful with springs sticking in our back. The air conditioning system does not run continuously so when it comes on, you are freezing to death even with low fan and when its not running, the room is super hot. The cafe closed 2 hours early on Friday which was very annoying. We were in town for a wedding so i am not sure i would stay here again. Expensive price for not so great accommodations.
