We went for 2 nights and arrived by charter plane. This is a very expensive place to visit and we expected more. The airboat safari and the drives were interesting however the current management is not at a level that matches the cost. We were told to move our flight back from 1 PM to 11:30 on our last day which made us miss the only thing to do on the property, the airboat tour. We had absolutely nothing to do but watch the staff wash the floor in the lodge. The pool, although beautiful is too cold to swim in. Positives: Kory the safari guide was extremely friendly and informative on birding. Our Air Conditioned Cabin was next to lodge so very handy and well made, no holes in screens. The lodge was screened and comfortable. Drinks, nice wine, good hard alcohol options, good non alcoholic drink options. Good cold water supplied. Loads of birds and wildlife. Nice setting. Cold wash clothes on return to camp. Mar the staff member who handles ordering drinks and showing to room. Family dining room in lodge is comfortable and open to socializing. Negatives: Management, the food! worst food we have ever had in a exclusive remote camp, very crabby chef and no options at all only give you one lunch and one dinner, no appetizers served in lodge before dinner, limited snack options. Pool not heated, swimmable but only for short time, biting ants at pool sofas. Strong dead animal smell as leaving the camp on driving tour in the afternoon. Many of the cabins are not Air Conditioned which in this part of the world is hard to understand. No river cruise as boat is broken. condition of the tour vehicals are very dated. Owners dont show respect for guests as proven by driving in front of our open tour jeep kicking up loads of dust while traveling in a closed SUV. Water Buffalo are live shipped to Asia for human consumption, better to process them in Darwin and ship, live shipping crowded animals is uncaring for these gentle beasts, must be very stressful for them. Will not recommend going unfortunately.
