Stayed for a week at the end of May The staff are friendly the hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are adequate and they are situated near the fabulous swimming pool which when we stayed was quiet with plenty of space. Breakfast is good with an ample selection of continental style breakfast and fresh fruit. NEGATIVES The price of a bottle of beer was 8 euros, which, by even today's standards is too much, especially if you're resident for a week. Special mention. To the reception staff and to Roberto who couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable and arranged things without favour. Location is by the Marina and if staying for a week a car is essential.

Hotel Cala Ponte is a charming retreat in a quaint Italian town along the Adriatic Sea. It is ideally situated near several beautiful towns in Puglia, including Bari, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Monopoli, Locorotondo, Matera, and Fasano, making it a perfect base for exploring the region. The hotel’s design is lovely, with a central restaurant and reception area surrounded by accommodation units nestled in a serene park filled with olive trees. The rooms are spacious, well-insulated, and feature terraces. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is stylishly done—though the choice of a wooden floor was impractical. Unfortunately, moisture has caused water damage around the shower area, resulting in a noticeable musty smell, particularly when entering from outside. The hotel grounds include a beautiful swimming pool within the park, though it was a bit too cold for us to enjoy during our stay. There are also tennis courts and a larger pool nearby for additional activities. Service in the restaurant is attentive, and the food is excellent. Staff are knowledgeable and take care with allergens, providing helpful guidance for guests with dietary needs. Overall, Hotel Cala Ponte is a delightful spot with a lot of charm and a great location for exploring the scenic Puglia region

We stayed at Cala Ponte Hotel 8 Nights in a room in the main building No.502 on the 1st Floor with a terrace which is shared with 3 other rooms on this floor. This did not stop our enjoyment as people keep themselves to themselves. We did however, get a lovely sunset each evening. Our room had been refurbished and was spotlessly clean and was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate with a choice of hot or cold which suited us . The pool area is very nice although in the low season there are no sun shades available and no drinks service but the bar inside is open should you need it. It is a 30 minute walk into the town or a Tuk Tuk service witch is available all day and well into the evening for 10 euros Just ask at the reception and it will be there within 10 minutes. No problem getting back as there is always one at the same place where they drop you off. There are no taxis in Polignano we did not see one while we were there. It appears there are only Transfers to and from Bari airport which cost 125 euros each way but we were able to do a deal at reception for 90 euros. The town itself is stunning with lots of restaurants but we chose our favourite witch was Cuccundeo just a short walk from where the tuk tuk stops. We would be there when they open at 7pm as it fills up quite quickly. Enjoy your stay and I hope you have lovely weather like we did.

The most waited trip and horrible experience. The only thing I liked was the breakfast. They advertise spa and pool. First of all, the water in the pool is small, looks like for children and obviously is not open in October, which is not written anywhere. Secondly, the spa is not included, you have to pay 20 euros for 1h. We have booked 2 nights here and the first night we arrived around 7, we was hoping to use the spa, but it was occupied, so I asked the receptoonist to book it for us for the next day(the only full day we had at the hotel). She said that the spa will be closed for cleaning, so do not book the hotel on Wednesday if you want to use the spa. Another really fustrating experience was that the gates are closed at the evening and they do not send any information about where to enter to the hotel and how. We wete circling around the hotel 20 minutes in the dark, after I had to call them and they informed that there is a button on a column at the gate, the up part of the hotel. I feel really dissapointed, the hotel was really expensive and we could not use anything for what i have booked the hotel: no spa, no pool. I could have book another hotel in the city center for much cheaper without spa and swimming pool and not in the middle of nowhere. Everything what they advertise was not available, just charging a lot of money and not offering anything. Also, the room was really smelly, the bed is uncomfortable. if you want to go to the city, you need to call a tuk tuk, which is 10 euro for one way. The wifi does not work.

Definitely not a 4 star resort. Being generous here with 2 stars. Hotel lobby and restaurant seemed well maintained but our room was not. First our room was weird in that it included 2 bathrooms (one was for handicapped, which wasn’t requested. Both bathrooms were horrible - mold in shower and on floor due to a leaky shower and railings in handicapped bathroom were rusty). When we initially complained the woman at the front desk said she knew about the mold but offered no solution. The following day they offered us an another but it wasn’t much better. Also, our first night we were so hot and noticed the ac wasn’t working. Only turned on after we complained. Buffet breakfast was ok but dinner menu was very limited and food mediocre. Also, noticed that the pool area was not maintained well either as mold also appeared to be going all around the pool. Front desk people didn’t seem to care much. Just a job to them I guess and probably tired of hearing complaints. Don’t recommend staying here.

The hotel looks lovely from the outside. My bathroom had mold and smelled bad. So badly understaffed you had to go to reception to get a towel. If you wanted a drink you had to go inside to get a drink. The pool is slippery, my colleague fell and is in pain. The restaurant was a giant disappointment. Menu was extremely limited portions very small even by European standards and no place to get a snack or even bottled water . No coffee or teapot in the room. With only two wait staff in the restaurant it created a very long wait.A black couple traveling with our group saw many others come in get served before a server ever came to their table. Unfortunately they left and went into town. Staff definitely need diversity training.

Honestly you could not pay me to stay here again. Pool staff rude and unhelpful, black mould in the bathroom, shower and pool. The bride and groom of our party also got their room broken into and safe robbed on the night of their wedding. Staff also on very bad wages which reflects the service. Very overpriced and outdated. DO NOT STAY HERE.
