Son Sant Jordi

My wife and I visited Son Sant Jordi for 10 nights ending today, 18th April. We booked our room only a few days before visiting and intended to cycle and relax in equal measure, taking in the many delights of Pollenca itself. The family owned and run hotel is lovely, relaxed, very friendly and, well, it is just like living in somebody's home. We were made to feel very welcome by everybody and we cannot praise all the staff enough for their considerate, friendly and keen approach to ensuring we had everything that we needed. We loved how everybody seemed to smile so much. We arrived probably at the very beginning of the main tourist season for Mallorca itself as the hotel was still gearing up for the coming season. We made a small suggestion on the breakfasts to maybe help them run more smoothly for guests coming down at differing times. To the hotel owner's absolute credit, these ideas were fully taken on board literally the following day and we honestly feel this demonstrates beyond all doubt how caring the family are towards their guests. Full marks, and thank you so much! The breakfast was lovely. We will definitely come back, probably later in 2025 and beyond. The hotel, location, staff and places to eat in Pollenca were excellent. We also recommend an early morning walk up Puig de Maria for fabulous views, peace and tranquility. It's steep, mind you! Finally, as expected, it's a great base for cycling too, especially for small groups or couples, with good and secure bike storage facilities next door. Highly recommended. PS you must go to meet Petra the parrot, usually either in the back garden or near reception. She will happily chat to you - yes, really. Amazing, and funny too.

Really loved our stay at Son Sant Jordi. On arrival, my friend & I were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a twin room to a suite with 2 rooms. Location is great - few minutes walk to centre of the old town so easy access to shops and restaurants. Bonus is the hotel has its own restaurant attached. Rooms were lovely - beautifully restored and preserved yet comfortable and practical. Lots of charm with the owner's parrots, birds, turtles and little dogs who were very well behaved. There is small pool in the courtyard ideal for sunning not so much for swimming. But the nearest beaches are 10 minutes away which is mostly where we went. Breakfast was amazing - really nice spread of everything you can think plus a few daily specials created by the kitchen and eggs to order. Staff were really lovely and pleasant. Honestly really happy with our stay!

A lovely hotel, in a beautiful location. We loved the home from home feel. Would definitely stay again. The breakfast in the garden was lovely and the rooms exceeded our expectations. The family were very and accommodating to our needs of our family

As it turned out, the hotel I booked last minute contacted me saying that they did not have a room, and made arrangements on our behalf here. We had booked a simple 2* hotel so were fine with the change (at the original hotel price). This is a very pleasant family run hotel, including a nice yard with a pool. There is not parking at the hotel, but there is a free parking lot about 2 blocks away. We ended up in the family suite which is huge. 2 bedrooms and a living room. It also happens to be right across one of the family apartments. The space had a real homey feel. Looks like a great arangement for a family (we were a couple). Since breakfast had been included in our original reservation, it was also included here. It was very good, including eggs to order. The family has some birds, inluding a large parrot and also a dog. Our suite was quite and comfortable, and we liked having the extra living space. I dod not know what this suite would have cost if we had booked it directly. All in all we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade from our originally booking.

We had a great stay at Son Sant Jordi. Son Sant Jordi is an authentic, family run hotel in the old city of Pollença. Free parking is available at two locations about 350 meters from the hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which is really spacious and has a modern vibe to it. The hotel has a nice, intimate garden with a pool. Breakfast is great with a personal service. Dinner is in the in-house restaurant with a choice between two set menu’s. The only negative comment is the lack of a stable WiFi connection. It is impossible to do some work on your laptop or stream a movie. This could be fixed with a proper repeater. Special thanks for Eduardo and his team who operate the in-house restaurant La Placeta!
