Apartamentos Don Miguel

Just got back home after a fantastic week here at the panorama hotel. We were bed and breakfast, Great breakfast area we plenty of choice, plus the option of a cooked breakfast. Super friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel at home.. nothing to much trouble, even rang our transfer bus company as we were worried as the road was closed due to the bike race.. Thank you everybody we will see you all next year

I am puzzled by the positive comments given for this accommodation. I can only assume that previous reviewers have not experienced any of the other wonderful options available in the resort. Having stayed over many years at various other places my experience here fell miserably short. I would make make the following points: - If you don’t want to or can’t carry a heavy case up many steps, don't stay here. The same applies if you have mobility issues as there are numerous steps to climb. Also the main outside building steps when wet get dangerously slippy. - If you travel in a group don’t expect to get a room located together or even in the same building/site.This is even if you have made the request and emailed weeks ahead and then asked again on arrival. - If you are allocated a ground floor room opposite the pool area, be aware that the rooms above and across the road are about six times bigger! - If reception staff insist you sign a hand written disclaimer to say that they have resolved your issue (even though they haven’t) in order to absolve all liability, don’t sign it. If they persist then see your holiday Rep. I understand that sometimes what is pleasant and acceptable for one person is not for the next. With that in mind I look forward to my next stay in wonderful Puerto Pollensa. However, guess what it won’t be at the Don Miguel………Adios.

Stayed there few times now with a large group of 16 on a cycling trip..Very friendly staff and well run. Rooms are clean and basic as you can see from most of the photos. Everything you need, small kitchenette, nice outside area, good bathroom and bedroom with a sofa bed in the main area. Value for money and would use again in the future. If you are cycling there are two bike hire shops (with bar & coffee) both a stone's throw from the apartments..Well located for beach, town centre and cycling routes.

We booked 14 nights here and I got BED BUGS! from the first night I started to itch and by the third night I had over 400 bites and got sent to hospital as also had an allergic reaction due to the number of bites I had over my body. The hotel owner was shockingly awful about it and tried to blame us for the infestation. We had photo and video evidence and was staying room 3A. I have a 5 year old son and thankfully he was ok. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in many hotels and have never experienced anything like this. Thankfully we got moved hotels but the impact this had on our holiday was huge and I am still traumatised by the bed bugs.

Basic but very pleasant family run hotel. Bit of a walk into town but flat. Friendly staff. Very clean and decent breakfast. Our room was quite small but reasonably priced. Not sure if there are larger rooms. Would stay agin if in the area. We arrived without a booking so were pleased to find this hotel

The apartments are in an ideal location close to the beach,bars and restaurants. While we were there there was a lovely peaceful vibe. The pool is nice and clean and has a lovely apricot tree at the back of it which gave us plenty of fruit everyday which is free for guests to eat. However be aware the accommodation is extremely basic, with no real comfort at all. In the kitchen the kettle and toaster leads are too short so you can only use one socket which has the kettle perched on a corner of the sink. There wasn’t a cork screw or decent sharp knife. The bedroom door doesn’t close due to the catch being painted over and we had no TV for 4 days even although it was repeatedly reported. The bedroom is very damp which resulted in the bedding always feeling clammy. We had one housekeeping visit while there for a week and although it advertises a snack bar it only serves drinks, no snacks. This accommodation is cheaper so I suppose you only get what you pay for. A special mention to Leveos from Romania who did try to sort out the TV issue ((and yes I know you don’t go on holiday to watch TV) and was very apologetic. If you’re happy to just use the apartment as a base and eat out all day every day then I’m sure you’ll be fine. We found the prices in the supermarkets next to the apartment ridiculous and walked to the Eroski on the outskirts of PP where everything was much cheaper. I’m sure it will be fine for lots of people and we did have a lovely time however we would opt to pay a bit more next time to have the added comfort.
