Cabot Las Velas Apartments

Lovely peaceful apartments, very clean and tidy. We stayed in 221, so had the rooftop whirlpool bath, sun chairs and fridge. We stayed up there most of the time. 10 minutes walk to beach front, very straightforward walk, with small supermarket nearby and a bigger one about 30 minute walk.

My Mum & I had a top floor deluxe apt for a week, with a roof terrace & hot tub, and a view of the mountains & mountain goats! The apartment was fine, a bit small, but manageable & had everything we needed - it does need better lighting throughout & a mirror in the main area nearer a socket - for the person sleeping on the sofa bed (me!). The furniture is pretty old & needs updating. Sofa bed relatively comfy but threadbare. The roof terrace & jacuzzi bath, which you fill yourself, always had piping hot water on tap, was just gorgeous & an absolute dream of a way to end the day watching the mountain goats playing. The pool areas (particularly the one to the right of the front of the reception area) are gorgeous with plenty of sunbeds. Staff are lovely & always helpful. I wish the bar was a bit more exciting, you can get a few things & a nice coffee. It’s about a 5-8 min walk to the nearest restaurants & Tamarells beach, 20+ min walk to the Pine Walk/harbour area. The beaches are gorgeous, the ocean clear & beautiful. Some great restaurants near the Tamarells end, La Maina & Casa di Mare (sp?) in particular. Food is great & the staff are a dream in both restaurants. Visited beautiful old Pollenca town by taxi (Mum is a little infirm) staff are happy to order a taxi for you, getting a hold of one for your return journey however is more problematic as the new Mallorcab phone app doesn’t really work, hopefully they’ll be able to fix that but it’s just a comment, not relevant to the Cabot Las Velas staff. I’d highly recommend this really lovely property, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Las Velas!

We are just back from an 8 night stay at Las Velas and absolutely loved it. Our room was perfect, loved its quiet spot at the back with whirlpool (301) and the sun on it it until 7pm. Loads of space for our family to enjoy peace and quiet. The complex is just lovely and there’s no problems with getting a sunbed. Really nice respectful people go there and everyone is friendly, just the sort of environment we love, just chilled out and laid back. The complex is spotlessly clean and the pools are fab. The staff in reception were always friendly , from the minute we arrived we felt welcomed and nothing was a problem. All other staff around the complex were friendly to. I felt we found a little piece of paradise here, away from the usual mayhem , I would definitely go back to Las Velas. Puerto Pollensa is one of the best resorts I’ve been to, stunning with the best seafront and quality of restaurants is second to none. All in all a great holiday.

Just back from a week at Cabot Las Velas. I visited 25+ years ago as a kid and was excited to see what it was like now... and I wasn't disappointed! I stayed in a Deluxe Suite (room 122) on the top floor with roof terrace. It was a great little apartment, with pretty much everything you would want for a short stay. Location of the complex is ideal, around 5 minutes walk to the beach and with a couple of small supermarkets and the larger (and much cheaper) Eroski supermarket 10 minutes walk away, The pool areas were lovely, very quiet during the day so no lounger availability issues, but the highlight for me was the whirlpool on the roof terrace. Especially useful when some unseasonably colder and cloudy weather rolled in midway through the week! A couple of small niggles - the door up to the roof terrace had no handle on the outside, so when I unassumingly closed it behind me I then realised I was locked out of the apartment. Had I not had my phone with me and been able to call reception to come and open the door, I'd most likely have been spending the night up there! Also, I expected more from the maintenance staff than a couple of fresh towels and the bin emptied every few days. The floor got dirty quickly from long walks/beach visits (as well as a smashed plate) and this was never cleaned throughout the week. If there had been a broom/mop provided I'd have happily done this myself, but it would have been nice to have this done, and the kitchen/bathroom sink given a quick once over. Despite these things, I really enjoyed my time at Cabot Las Velas and know that the management team are very attentive to customer feedback, so would happily return in future!

I have just returned from cabot las velas, after 1 week with my partner, and the in laws also stayed in another room. Our room was 301, right next to reception which was great as it has the bar. The room was large, large shower, large comfy bed, nice kitchen with kettle, microwave and toaster, large TV, comfy sofa, big wardrobe, good aircon, lots of usb ports, nice outdoor area with table, 4 chairs and a hottub that you fill yourself hot or cold. No umbrella for shade. We were very impressed with the room and really enjoyed staying there. The only downside was no privacy around the hottub, with next doors hottub very close with nothing in between. And the room was not cleaned until day 7! We asked and it never got done apart from we were given some more towels on day 3. Not good enough. The in laws paid more than us and when they arrived they had a tiny room, not sure which number, and asked to be moved. They moved to 222 which was bigger and had the roof terrace, but no wardrobe, just a hanging rail, and was much smaller than ours, but they did have the upstairs space. They also did not get the room cleaned until they complained. The smaller pool to the right of the reception is the one we used, plenty of beds and a pool shower. No life guard seen at all all week. The pool was warm and lovely, even if slightly on the small side. There are 4 buildings, for rooms beginning with 100, 200, 300 and 400. Building 3 is the one with reception and the bar and the big rooms, none with roof terraces. Building 4 only has 5 rooms with their own roof terrace by the pool. They looked nice from the outside. Buildings 1 and 2 also have some rooms with roof terrace. None of the roof terraces have umbrellas for shade, and some of them have narrow, windy stair cases which would be difficult to use for certain people. The TV had Google play so u can download Disney, netflix etc but you have to download and sign in every time, which is time consuming. We found it easier to cast from our phone to the TV, using the button on the remote. 10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to spar shop, great location. I would definitely recommend these apartments but make sure you know which sized room you are getting and consider your own needs. We fell lucky with the big room and other than the lack of cleaning it was really great.

We stayed as a family of 4 at these apartments for 2 weeks in July. Our room was 222 and it had the roof top with the hot tub. We met lots of lovely people when we were there. Overall we found it a great place to stay but I feel there are a few issues that should be addressed. We joined that Cabot club so should have received beach towels and a free safe. There were no towels available when we arrived and we didn’t get these until the following day. It was also difficult to change them as they often didn’t have clean ones. The man on reception wasn’t aware about the free safe and it took him a few days to find out about this and give us the key. My little girl twisted her knee in the park one evening and I asked the receptionist if they had a first aid kit with a bandage and she told me they didn’t. I walked down to the Pollensa park hotel and the female manager there was lovely and helpful. She gave me a bandage from the first aid box and told me there would be one in the main area at the apartments as every main area has to have one. She told me just to call if I needed anything and was so kind. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. The final issue was on the last evening the fire alarm went off in our block. When we evacuated the building nobody for the reception was there to tell people what to do as they weren’t aware the fire alarm was even going off. I went to tell her and she said it’s ok if does that sometimes I’ll just switch it off at the box. There were no checks done and this stressed me out a bit. I hardly slept that night and we were up at the 3 for the flight home. The apartments are absolutely beautiful and have everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable. They would benefit from a bit more storage for clothes. The rooftop is a lovely place to relax and even has a sink and a fridge. The hot tub is big enough for 4. Maid service is every second day. The room was cleaned well but the rooftop and balcony were never cleaned. The grounds are beautiful, very clean. The pools are lovely and the Peruvian life guard is so friendly. The area is perfect as it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a lovely walk along the front to the harbour. We used the tennis courts at Pollensa park and that was good. I wish you could pay a small amount to use the splash park there as the kids loved it. You need to pay 50 euros each for an all inclusive day. One day the manager from Pollensa park came to our hotel and gave the guests a glass of cava. Thanks for a lovely holiday. We are returning in October and hope some of the small issues are sorted by then.
