Not a bad hotel at all. Me and my friend went as a birthday trip and first trip alone without parents. the hotel is a good size with lovely pool staff and was not awfully busy. the room was lovely and bathrooms were spacious and clean. there were a few issues in which we were met with such as; once we had arrived after being up since 1am uk time, and arrived at 1pm greek time, we were greeted at check in and instantly told about tourist tax and it had to be paid in cash, which we did not have. we were told we had to get a shuttle out to the town that only ran tuesdays and thursdays, leaving at 8pm and coming back at 10pm. we were a little confused by this as we were not told anywhere that we were meant to have cash with us (but that’s slightly our mistake). we didn’t want to get the shuttle as being two 18yo girls in a foreign country, this was quite daunting. the issue however was resolved and we got a taxi. Another issue that we encountered was a noise complaint from a neighbouring room, and they had apparently changed rooms because we were “very noisy”. we were not, and they knocked once indicating to be quiet and we went to sleep, despite only laughing once at 11:30pm. we were then met at the front desk and questioned if we were loud, and we replied with the fact that the neighbours were equally as loud at midnight the night before after we had been travelling for 9+ hours. we explained this and the two managers at the front desk spoke in greek infront of us and gave us a look. this was slightly uncomfortable for me and my friend but we ended up just ignoring that and respecting other hotel visitors by being more quiet. One thing that massively stood out and i’d like to thank the young girl and managers who helped us is that, when we were by the pool a man was taking photos and videos of us, and staring. being young this made me and my friend so unbelievably uncomfortable and we reported it to staff. the young girl whom helped us was so lovely, and kept a lookout for us, and moved us to different sunbeds, and we were told if he were to do it again the police would be called. the staff handled the situation amazingly and made us feel much safer and welcomed. All in all, it was a good holiday, beach was lovely, and the pool was lovely too. food had a good range of options to choose from, with both healthy options and easier options for children such as pasta or potatoes. i would recommend this for young people travelling as it’s not too expensive, it’s a small hotel and a good experience for a first holiday alone.
