Noosa Eco Retreat

I'm not sure I can recommend this place high enough. It was the perfect Australian experience. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable with a full kitchen and bathroom in our yurt. We woke up to the sounds of birds and went to sleep to the kangaroos in our yard. Special thanks to Nick for providing gluten free options in our amazing breakfast provisions. 5 stars!

We stayed at Noosa Eco Retreat for 3 wonderful nights. Our entire experience was relaxing. The communication prior to check in was professional and friendly. Once inside the retreat we were impressed by the well appointment yurts (that were far bigger than we expected). They were luxurious and every aspect has been considered. From generous breakfast provisions to delightful bathroom supplies. The environment and animals were a real treat. We relaxed and watched kangaroos go about their day as well as ducks other native animals. The location of Noosa Eco Retreat was handy to the friendly, quirky town of Pomona which is lovely to explore. We also used the retreat as a base to explore Montville and Noosa. We can’t recommend Noosa Eco Retreat enough. We can’t wait to go back!

Husband and I sought a Covid safe space for a weekend away. The yurt Yugen is located at the top National Park end on a grassy ridge with spacious interior and excellent array of services (including 5 portable water filled air conditioners and a standard pedestal fan made a fair dint in the 28 degree heat) and if cool weather arrived there were hot water bottles and oil filled heaters. The king size bed and pleasing decor were a delightful welcome as we entered. The chairs provided didn’t quite meet a 5 star mark of the rest of our yurt. There were outdoor chairs next to a fire pit plus funky ‘jelly’ seats (oversized bean bag?) plus dining chairs (sadly the seat cushioning was saggy and in need of replacement). We hoped for more sightings of bird life but a couple of kookaburras and ducks on the dam was really all we heard or saw. The small mob of ‘Roos were snacking on the road verge during a heavy cloud burst of rain which was intriguing to see. Surprisingly we spied a fox just up from our yurt during our stay. My favourite critters spotted were the beautiful dragonflies on the dam! We took the operator’s advice to walk through the National Park to the Saturday morning market but it took us significantly longer with our creaky knees, so just a point to consider for other visitors that appropriate bushwalking footwear and awareness of inclines and descents that can be uncomfortable on dodgy knees and other leg joints. We were very, very pleased with the breakfast basket and the picnic basket was also good. This made our choice to avoid places with other people much more convenient. We have stayed at dozens of BnB’s and seek out atypical accommodation types and the yurt certainly met and exceeded our expectations.

We based ourselves here for the long weekend as we planned a few days of gravel riding. It was a great location for this with lots of options to ride. Nick went out of his way to ensure a birthday on the weekend was celebrated well with a massage and picnic hamper. The accommodation is indeed 'glamping', as the yurts have everything you need. It was pretty hot when we arrived, and we laughed at the hot water bottles. But Nick knows his stuff and that it cools down a lot overnight. They were used. It was peaceful and we enjoyed the fact that we could come and go without interaction.
