This hotel is in a great location and is right on the Camino Ingles. However, it is very dated and tired. While it is clean, it feels dusty. The Bar and Restaurant is just ok. The staff were friendly, but did not speak great English. Thankfully I spoke enough Spanish to make myself understood. If there is another option I wouldn't stay here again. This could be a great hotel if it had some TLC.

The hotel is well located especially if you are on the camino. It's literally the first building on the left as you cross the bridge. Staff are very friendly but the whole hotel is tired. the room was clean but noisy with street sounds and water pipes keeping a tired pilgrim awake! At €65 it was also expensive for what it was. Not the worst hotel i've encountered but would not return.

Really pleasant after reading some of the previous reviews! Great location, just over The Pontedeume Bridge. Good rooms, nice bathroom and shower, really nice breakfast, and really friendly/helpful staff. Would use again without doubt!

We stayed here for 1 night on the Camino Inglés. Pluses: - Fast free wifi - Big airy rooms, some with lake views - Excellent location right off the bridge on the the Camino - Walkable to Old Town - Very kind staff - once you get beyond the ugly exterior and weird lobby, it's a lovely parador-style hotel - Clean, quiet, secure Minuses: - Breakfast not included - Not a lot of outlets - A weird 1970s/Polynesian/parador vibe

By far the worst hotel I found so far. It could have been good at one time (50 years ago) but the absolute neglect in its maintenance and updating make it deserving of a low rating. Counting groups among its majority clientele, it seems that its management absolutely does not care about the impression it leaves on its clients. Based on agreeing on a price with the wholesaler, they do not mind significantly lowering the level of their services: superficial cleaning, non-existent maintenance and the minimum expression in their breakfast (coffee, milk and pastries). For lunch and dinner they resort to catering, so you eat what there is or there is no alternative. In the words of their staff, they agree on the level of what they offer according to the price agreed with the operator. And there is no alternative. And since there is no other hotel there, as long as it doesn't fall down, it is what it is. The only thing that stands out is its location. Possibly now with the rise in the price of electricity they will stop offering the toaster for breakfast.

The breakfast at the hotel is great and all the hotel staff are most friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are spacious, more than usual in most hotels, with great views of the bridge and river. However, certain elements are a bit outdated, for example, the taps, finishes, etc., including in the corridor, since the floor at some point sank a bit when passing. The hotel is more like a hostel. It seems adequate to spend a night on the way to Santiago. At first, the furniture and especially the bathroom are very deteriorated. Feeling of neglect and total lack of cleanliness. I think they lack cleaners. One day they even forgot to make our room. Only the reception staff, friendly at all times, is saved.
