Lovely well equipped room with absolutely everything you could possibly want, really well thought out. Restaurant and pub superb range of drinks and food, staff all friendly and efficient. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and served personally by the chef. Will be back for sure!

First rate place to stay if visiting the Bournemouth area. Really lovely welcome. Great rooms. Superb value. Excellent pub. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. People who run this place really care about providing good hospitality and keeping customers. Thank you.

Wow! A beautifully designed pub/hotel, completely inspired rooms. Our room had a 4-poster bed and a free-standing roll-top bath - completely gorgeous! Top quality food, first class service, great price and the most beautiful location! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel staff were lovely and the room was beautiful at first glance, however it is a little tired and the post on the bed was broken making it quite rickety. The room was, however very pretty and clean. The bar and outside areas were nice enough. Our main disappointment on this trip was the restaurant. The food was terrible! The starters (curried cauliflower and ox cheek croquettes) were awful. The cauliflower was dry to the point of powdery and the ox cheek croquettes contained barely any ox cheek and both dishes tasted like they had been deep fried and heated more than once. We advised the waitress who apologise and said that she would inform the chef. Main courses steak and crab, which were pretty run of the mill and nothing special but were edible, the salad with the crab was soaked in vinegar to the point of leaving a puddle of vinegar on the plate and the spring greens were literally boiled greens with no seasoning. A disappointing main course considering the prices in the restaurant. Again we informed the waitress who again said that she would let the chef know. I opted for the panna cotta dessert, my husband had given up on the food by this time. The dessert was lovely. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had such a disappointing meal in a restaurant. The waitress, however was lovely but that’s no compensation for the money wasted. Had we not been so hungry and tired from our journey we would have certainly sent everything back and gone elsewhere to eat.

Beautiful pub/hotel in fantastic location just minutes from the beach. We stayed for 2 nights over Easter and as we booked direct had a room upgrade to room with a lovely roll top bath and huge bed. Despite being really busy downstairs in the pub the room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We ate one night in the pub and although the food was lovely the service wasn’t great, waiting to be seated, waiting for our order to be taken (we had to ask someone to take it). Our sharing starters arrived but we had to ask for plates - all minor things but these things are the difference between 4 and 5 star reviews. Upon check out we were asked if we had anything from the mini bar - we hadn’t but had been charged for items. It was removed from the bill but definitely felt like we were under suspicion. I understand not all people are honest and it was a lovely mini bar selection however it left us feeling uncomfortable at check out. Having said this it is clearly a very popular spot, always busy, lovely garden area and I would definitely recommend this place - but there is always room for improvement.

A great little place in a central location in Canford Cliffs. Good value for money. The rooms are nicely decorated & a comfy bed. The staff were exceptional with their service and the dinner & breakfast we had was delicious. Look forward to a return visit.
