Saltwater Luxury Apartments

The apartment was very central to everything. The apartment was spacious, clean, modern and had all the facilities that made the stay lovely. It also offered free Wifi throughout the complex. The pool was well maintained and offered sun lounges for you to relax on after enjoying your swim. I had the pleasure of meeting Jason who assisted me with different things throughout the stay. Nothing was a bother for him. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable . I can’t thank him enough. I highly recommend Saltwater luxury apartments and look forward to returning in the future.

The apartment was very spacious which was great for a family of four adults, however the apartment we were in was very tired. The kitchen items were basic, which restricted some cooking. eg: no fish slice, and other items. There is no toilet door in the ensuite, in the main bedroom, however you can close the bedroom door. The pool and surrounding area was great, very clean and tidy, good layout. The location was superb, walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, shops, etc. The ladies onsite were very helpful and friendly. We don't agree that this is now a luxury apartment, other than the 3 brm space.

I have to give this place 5+ stars. We had a two-bedroom, 2-bath unit (#11), each with a shower. Excellent A/C. White tile floor and white walls and cabinetry throughout—very light and bright. Ceiling fans in each room. We had a balcony the width of the apartment facing the rainforest (and town). It was very quiet as far as street noise. The master bedroom was in the middle and had windows to the living room, which opened onto the balcony; the floor to ceiling glass doors and window in the living room did not have shades, but the bedroom did, so it was very easy to control the light. There is a high, horizontal window in the bedroom as well, that did let light directly into the master bedroom. Water pressure was good. Kitchen was well-equipped for our purposes: 8 coffee cups, saucers, plates, bowls, silverware, toaster and electric hot water kettle. Good refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. 4 beach towels were provided, as were bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, soap and shampoo, as well as a small roll of paper towels. The apartment was large and had plenty of closet space. Living area included sofa, chairs, and breakfast table with 4 chairs. 2 chairs + small table on balcony. No bathtub, which is understandable with all the sand—but double rainheads + walls in one shower, and easily movable showerhead in the other, so that was fine. Sandy from the office was super helpful in showing us around and explaining how things worked. We pushed too many buttons and unset the A/C by accident; upon a call, she came right up to straighten us out. Location is ideal, right in the middle of town. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. I would definitely stay here again.

A friend and I shared a 2 bedroom apartment at Saltwater late February 2022. We had a wonderful time in Port Douglas. We took in some of the unique experiences of the area (Mosman river drift and Daintree River cruise were highlights). Based at Saltwater, we were central to all that Port Douglas has to offer. Being in the Main Street, everything was within walking distance. It’s a very convenient location. The accommodation is very comfortable and modern. The decor is simple and fresh. As I was travelling with a friend, we especially appreciated that both bedrooms were comfortable, with great beds and both had their own lovely bathrooms (no fighting for bathroom time). There really was no “better room” so we were both happy. Also worth note, I snore quite a bit, so the layout of the apartment with both bathrooms positioned between the bedrooms meant I was not going to disturb my roomie. Capped off by a beautiful and well maintained communal pool area which was a lovely place to relax at the end of each day (especially as this was a hot and humid time of year). Jason was an amazing host and could not have made us feel more welcome. I highly recommend and will be back next time I stay in Port Douglas (which will be soon I hope!).

Saltwater is a set of apartments situated above a shopping centre in the main street. This gives an elevated view over the main street, and makes it a perfect location to walk everywhere. We have stayed a few times now, and tend to park in the basement and don't move our car till it's time to head back to Cairns. The apartments are really spacious. cleverly thought out, extremely well equipped, and spotlessly clean. There's a central pool between the two rows of apartments, which is a great spot to catch some sun or relax between day trips and sight seeing.

What a joy to be able to travel again and heading to Port Douglas to stay at Saltwater Luxury Apartments was the perfect first destination post Covid isolation and lockdowns. Jason could not have been more helpful arranging a couple of tours for my friends and I that were brilliant and the accomodation at Saltwater at the end of each day was luxurious and comfortable in an unpretentious way. It’s ideally situated to be able to access the best restaurants and bars that Port Douglas offer although after all of this, leaving the great central swimming pool was difficult! Highly recommended.
