Port Douglas Hotels with Pools

The hotel is very far away. In Douglas Town, we went to Cairns by boat for an hour. I am a Platinum Member of Marriott. Sheraton gave me a wine and it was said that the room type was upgraded. But they told me I was not a Platinum member, wasn't it funny? The hotel facilities are good, the scenery is very beautiful, the swimming pool is very large, parking is free, and there are golf courses, but the hotel is located in a tropical rain forest, there are a lot of bugs, and there are cockroaches and small flying insects everywhere in the corridor. It will be stinging, the room is still quite large, and the bathroom is also large. If the hotel can pay attention to cleanliness, the business should be better, which is not comparable to the Gold Coast Sheraton. In addition, I want to tell people who live here not to go to a Chinese restaurant called Jadeinn in Douglas. The owner ’s 10,000-percent Hong Kong independence is simply not dead. 11-17/03/21 This is the second time I’ve stayed at Le Cher Du Monde in Port Douglas and it doesn’t disappoint! The apartments are fabulous and have everything ones needs to relax and enjoy their stay. The rooms are private, clean, well stocked & nicely set out, each with their own balcony to enjoy the stunning views. Centrally located on the main street , it’s just a quick step & a jump to the shops, cafes & restaurants, marina, beach & everything else this great place has to offer! Car parking is available which was also very handy. As a solo traveller, i always felt safe and that was an added bonus! As like last time, the staff are lovely, very welcoming and always willing to have a chat or suggest some places to visit - you may even be lucky enough to get a cuddle from the resident dog!! Thank you so much for making my stay so enjoyable - I can’t wait to come back again... I highly recommend! Sarah G

We were disappointed when we first arrived at the property. It looked much nicer online, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. It's run down and needs some TLC. Our room was a 3-bedroom self-contained unit. It was spacious and neat, but the bathrooms were disgusting. I would expect bathrooms like that if I stayed at a caravan park. It needs a significant update. There is no mini-bar or lift to the second floor where we stayed. Two young girls were assigned to bring our luggage to our room, but they struggled with our heavy bags, and my husband and 17-year-old son had to help them and bring them up. The same thing happened when we checked out. The poor girl couldn't push the trolley with the luggage, and my husband ended up pushing it for her. The buffet breakfast is average. Not worth $45. The staff are all backpackers. The service could have been better. We would have tried to find a nicer hotel if we hadn't paid upfront. The only saving grace was the swimming pool. Although it also needs a revamp, it was a great pool, and the kids liked it. We wouldn't stay here again.

Booking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.

Silkari Lagoons is an excellent choice to stay in Port Douglas. Beautiful common area with two fully equipped BBQs, clean pools with Spa jets. Nice service by friendly people. Big rooms with cooking facilities, cutlery, glassware, balcony.

My mum and I shared room 15. The configuration was perfect for us, as it was actually 2 rooms with a common entrance opened up, so Mum was able to have 15B to herself. This meant she not only had her own bedroom, but her own bathroom, kitchenette, veranda, outdoor chairs and table, spa, sun lounge and pool ladder! I was in 15A (a double room in itself) and we used its much larger lounge, kitchen (full size with dishwasher), veranda and spa as our common area. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers. The pool isn't heated but it was in the sun from early morning so, even in August, I found the water plenty warm enough. It's always beautifully clean too, without noticeable chlorine, only slightly salty, good mix. Excellent location, next door to Zinc restaurant and bar, which is on the corner of Davidson and Macrossan Street. Short stroll to the beach. If you're not able to manage the walk all the way down Macrossan St to the inlet, there is a great shuttle bus service available (SR Coaches) to take you anywhere in Port Douglas for a fixed price of $8 one way or $14 return. Just call their mobile number to tell them where you are and they'll be there in a flash.

The environment is good, there are standard resort scenery, pool, pool table, bar are OK. At night, the lights under the swimming pool are dim, and it feels very suitable for the swimsuits to line up, but unfortunately the pool is not open at night. Health, the overall facilities are not bad. In the evening, the hotel restaurant can order some western food, and the price and taste are not bad. The only thing that is inconvenient is that the traffic is not convenient. If you want to go out for dinner and need to walk for more than half an hour, the hotel can also help to call the bus, but it is still not convenient.

The hotel is in a very central location, on the edge of the city center street, very quiet, but close to the beach, not a 5 minute walk away to enjoy a reclining beach or a beach walk and watch the sunrise. In addition to the master bed, there is also a small room with a single bed, which is suitable for families. There is a microwave oven, a kitchen sink and cute tableware, which can be used for simple cooking. Large-scale cooking must be in the public kitchen. It's a little inconvenient. Although it is not cleaned every day, the cleanliness of the room is not bad. All in all, it's worth recommending.

Great location. Two pools everything we needed to keep two teenagers fed. We did the 3 bedroom and really enjoyed the location. 5 min to 4 mile beach 10 min to town and we walked it that awesome tropical heat 🥵 car parks seemed plenty. Used the washing machine a few times in our unit and the communal dryer, all included. Have Foxtel, basic tea coffee for your arrival and I hired a beach towel $5 for the week! Thanks 🙏🏿
